Royal Curry Restaurant & Sweets — Restaurant in Surrey

I request to my Punjabi community that Please don't order food from royal curry restaurant. I had horrible experience with this restaurant today. I ordered food from this restaurant through uber eats on Diwali night , accidentally canceled the order and then called the restraurant to make sure that if they have started preparing the order, we are going to re order again the same food as ordered before just to avoid creating two separate orders. The other party agreed with this and suggested to contact uber eats to issue refund for cancellation and clarify the issue. When uber eats contacted the royal curry to verify the obove statement, restraurant completely refused and lied about the whole situation just to get extra $60. I really felt being played and manipulated for the first time and that too after having conversations back and forth with both parties. This is a to-go type restaurant. The only restaurant that gives you free naans with your entree & let me tell you that is a crowd puller !! No seating , no frills, just good affordable north Indian food. Quantity is good, taste is decent , pretty clean by the looks of it. Cad 13.99 for medium entree with one free butter naan . Cad 16.99 for large entree with two free butter naan. There were a lot of people getting a lot of orders to go. I had a really disappointing experience with my recent order. I tried two dishes — Chat Papri and Gol Gappe — and unfortunately, neither met even basic expectations.

The Chat Papri was particularly bad. It was basically just a bowl of plain yogurt — no sauces, no papris, no real flavor. It was bland and incomplete, like a key part of the dish was just forgotten.

The Gol Gappe weren’t much better. The puris were stale and the pani lacked the tangy, spicy kick you’d expect. Overall, both dishes felt like they were thrown together with little care or authenticity.
