This McDonald's needs signs when the dinning room area is opened and closed. A couple weeks ago I came from Ontario and visited friends. We went to this McDonald's at 9:50 at night. We checked for hours, no signs on the door. We ordered, no employees told us anything. We sat down and we're eating. Around 10:20-10:30 some employee with short blonde hair yelled at us that the dinning room was closed and we needed to leave. We quickly started to get up, and one of my friends even apologized. This employee was not done, she continued to yell at us to leave and how they close at 10. I really don't appreciate being spoken to like a child so I said, "Well we're leaving now." She continued how they close at 10 every night. I said, "well maybe there should be hours posted." After that she shut her big mouth.
Me and my friends are 27 years old. We weren't causing any issues and got up to leave with no issues. I've worked in customer service for years and never felt the need to speak to people like children. It's embarrassing I have to write a review how McDonald's needs to train there employees basic manners and how to deal with the general public.
If this is an acceptable way to treat customers when you don't inform them of the hours, Sussex McDonald's deserves zero stars in my opinion.

Read moreDisappointed visit. First, I used the self order touch screen for which I literally had to bang on so that it would accept the “touch” choices. After the order was ready (family of 4), I went to get some ketchup from the dispenser to realized they had no more little containers to put the Ketchup in. Went to the counter to let them know about the cups and was provided with a hand full of ketchup packages for which I was satisfied about. My little one finished her drink and wanted more pop, I went to the counter to ask for a refill as they did not have the self serve machine and was advised that they no longer offered refills which was news to me that McDonald’s no longer offered refills. After our meal was done, the kids wanted ice cream for dessert. I therefore headed to the self serve order to find out they were out of ice cream cones and sundae however had McFlurrys. As it made no sense that they were offering McFlurrys but no ice cream cones , I headed to the ordering counter to be told they couldn’t offer McFlurrys either because their ice cream machine was down. I sincerely hope that it was a one off day for...
Read moreALWAYS CHECK YOUR ORDER BEFORE MOVING FROM THE WINDOW. I have been here 4 times and 4 times they have gotten the order wrong (sometimes by a forgiveable amount) but not this last time. A few nights ago my husband and I ordered 2 quarter pounder BLT combos and a 10 piece mcnuggets. I admit my fault in having moved away from the window before checking the order in its entirety however we were very disappointed to have received 4 regular cheeseburgers, 2 large fries and no nuggets. Literally the only thing they got right was the drinks. Having to go back around the drive thru to correct this would have taken 10 more minutes and we had been driving for 13 hours straight. On any other day we would have returned the order and had them set it right but we were too exhausted. The service is also usually fairly slow, but they are also the only McDonalds in Sussex so we get what we get :( Don't make my mistake though. Hold up the line. Check your order BEFORE...
