Bagels Round Top — Restaurant in Sutton

This is NOT the place to go for a quick lunch! Went on 9/30 to get two smoked meat sandwiches and stood watching a cashier who was unable/unwilling to multitask. When we finally made it to the counter, she informed us that there was no smoked meat so we could only have pulled pork. Having invested so much time at this point, we ordered anyway. What followed was easily the longest wait we've ever experienced for two sandwiches! When we finally got the order (after 25 minutes), the bagels were so drenched in mustard that the sandwiches were impossible to eat without a fork. The "homemade" ginger ale was just ice, soda water and a squirt of largely flavourless syrup. (Coca-Cola and Keurig Dr. Pepper would likely be interested in the "Local-Cola" and "Sutton Dry" trademark infringements displayed behind...

Bagels are pretty good, but the bagel sandwiches are not the best, got a smoked salmon bagel and I really don’t know how but it was bland? They used old soft white onions, the cream cheese was dry, very thin layer and also didn’t even have a taste. Just disappointing and the service isn’t the best, there weren’t a lot of people in but yet it was still in and out and because of that they didn’t take the time to take the order and double check and made a mistake with the other bagel sandwich (which also somehow was tasteless). Home made Smoked Meat Brisket on a steaming hot bagel with mustard holy moly it was good - I went on a tip from a local friend and was not dissapointed - I even bought an extra portion of brisket for dinner later on. Staff was super friendly and know their products well - apparently they smoke chickens and other goodies too - I was shocked to see a full size bagel oven in Sutton (no small task getting one of these beasts approved and installed anywhere these days - so a real gem!) Don't Walk, RUN to this place now !! Oh and the 80's playlist they were playing was awesome too. Only good vibes....
