Yamabiko is a small, cozy cafe with a modern wooden design, perfect for a quiet fall escape. The minimalist interior features polished wood and charming animal art, creating a warm, inviting space. Large windows offer stunning views of the autumn foliage, while the small outdoor seating area is perfect for soaking in the season’s beauty. The menu includes seasonal favorites like spiced pumpkin lattes and apple cinnamon pastries. With friendly service and a tranquil atmosphere, Yamabiko is an ideal spot to relax and enjoy a peaceful afternoon.

Touring the Eastern Townships in the last days of October, Cafe Yamabiko offered a refuge from the rain and cool winds outside. Set back from the main street, the decor and ambience are so relaxing and enjoyable. I even saw people reading real books. The coffee and pastries are superb and I even enjoyed the Latin-inspired music. Worth the drive to Sutton, for sure.

Seriously one of the best coffee in the Eastern townships. It’s smooth and a bit sweet. I drink Lattes with Oatmilk and make sure to pick one up every time I drive or bike in the Sutton area. The service is great and friendly… plus you have this beautiful backyard where you can sip in peace or for a intimate chat with your friends. Incontournable!

The atmosphere is very pretty, lovely inside/outside decor and seating area. On the other hand, I don't quite understand the fuss for the coffee. It tastes burned, and the chai latte is tasteless. I've been here a few times just to be sure it was not my bad luck, but on each occasion the drinks were disappointing.

I cannot comment on the food, although it looks delicious. However, the coffee is very disappointing.

It is still a very nice place to visit if you...

This gem of a small-town cafe brews some of the best espresso I've had anywhere. They offer two daily choices of beans, classic and "fruité" and they know what they're doing with the machines. Baked goods are fresh throughout the day, with scones served warm and fluffy. A beautiful terrasse in back and cozy interior seating round it out.

I make a point of stopping here every time I visit Sutton, and you should too if you like...
