Capri Cabaret — Restaurant in Sydney

My oh my, what a place. First, to get in the door, you must pay $10. This fee is outlandish considering you're paying for nothing. The DJ is atrocious and plays songs that you can't dance to, let alone even feel a small groove from. The place is packed with boys who just hit puberty and love to push and shove. The bar is impossible to get near, and if you do want a drink, you have to fight through the crowd for it, just to get pushed and shoved some more. Sitting down back by the pool table is the only relief you'll get, but even then, you're forced to watch all the guys go into the bathroom to hit a bump. I'm sure the bouncers are overwhelmed, but most look like they're falling asleep rather than monitoring what's going on. And if you can't get up or down stairs while intoxicated, don't even think...

Bruh! This place sucks, especially the dj, he just plays shit bro. Tracks which people can’t dance. Tracks which is everytime and everyday repetitive. Tracks which are just tracks buddy nothing special being a dj. He just plays as it is. I’ve been here since long, I’d play much more bloody good music than what he does. I’d never wanted to post a review but he made me do it. When capri change him or when he realize what he’s doing then that place would be better too. They got us customers so granted because this place doesn’t have any other pub. But man believe me, someday, someone would come up with another great ambience and a better DJ. Then they’ll know. Staff seemed ok but the "dj" (if it can even be called that) - I think that "repetitive throwback track chooser" is more appropriate. I asked to have some more more modern tracks picked (French Montana Unforgettable) to which the dj replied by playing some absolute trash that I'd bet the farm on is repeated each weekend. I'd avoid spending my money here unless you literally live in permanent "tbt" mode. Hire a dj who actually knows what a turntable is,...
