I rarely leave negative reviews, but the experience I had at this restaurant was so far below acceptable standards that I feel compelled to share it. After traveling for over six hours, my companions and I arrived hungry and tired, only to be met with the most frustrating and disappointing dining experience I’ve ever had. First, the food was delayed by an hour with no prior communication or explanation from the staff. Not once did anyone inform us that our meal would take so long, leaving us waiting and wondering what was happening. When the food finally arrived, it had an awful smell, which I immediately brought to the attention of the manager. Her response was not an apology, but rather a dismissive comment, saying, “It’s cooked on flames; of course, it’s going to smell like that.” There was no attempt to make things right or offer any kind of customer care. What followed was truly bizarre. The manager, in a clearly uncomfortable and unprofessional manner, put her hands together in what seemed to be an apology—though it was neither sincere nor helpful. To my absolute shock, she even tried to touch my feet, an action that was completely inappropriate and made me feel utterly uncomfortable. I was left confused and disrespected, especially as she began to speak in a loud, condescending tone to ensure that everyone in the restaurant could hear her. The manager told me, “You don’t even have to pay for the food,” which only made me feel more belittled and small in front of other diners. Despite this, when the bill arrived, we were charged around $52 with a supposed “discount,” but it wasn’t clear where or how that discount was applied. The only saving grace of the experience was the manager’s daughter, who stepped in to address the situation in a more polite and professional manner, but by then, the damage was done. This restaurant’s lack of professionalism, poor food quality, and overall disrespectful attitude towards customers left me with no desire to ever return. I’m still shocked by how badly this was handled, and I’d strongly advise anyone to look elsewhere for a more pleasant...
Read moreAlright, buckle up. I ordered 2 Hakka noodles with Manchurian, Butter Chicken, and 2 Butter Naans at 8:30 PM. The lady goes, “It’ll be ready in 30 minutes.” Cool, no problem. I pull up right at 9:00 — being all punctual and respectful — and guess what? NOTHING’S READY. Not even close. I stood there like an idiot for 40 freakin’ minutes while they ran around pretending to be busy.
Not one sorry. Not a single “we’re working on it.” Just silence. Like they were doing me a favor.
Anyway, I finally get my food, go home after an hour and ten minutes total, open the bag — and guess what’s missing? The damn Butter Chicken. The main thing I was craving.
I called them three times, and every call went straight to voicemail. So I had to drive all the way back, wasting more gas and patience. I tell them they forgot my Butter Chicken and weren’t answering calls, and the lady straight-up says, “You forgot your Butter Chicken.” WHAT?? How do I forget something you never gave me? The mental gymnastics here are wild.
And of course, no refund, no apology, no “hey, our bad.” Nothing. Just excuses like, “I don’t know how the restaurant got this busy.” Yeah, maybe because you’re running it like amateurs?
Honestly, this place is a joke. No communication, no respect for customers, and apparently no Butter Chicken...
Read moreSo, I recently swung by ethical India with my taste buds all geared up for a fiery Indian food adventure. Let me just say, it was more like a detour than a journey to the heart of Indian cuisine.
First off, the vibe was cool, no denying that. The place had the whole Indian chic thing going on, and I was all in. But then, the menu happened. It was like looking for a Bollywood hit and ending up with a B-movie rerun.
I went for the classics, you know, butter chicken . But man, they were like distant cousins of the real deal. The butter chicken lacked that punch, that zing you expect to hit you right in the taste buds.
Props to the staff, though. They were on point, friendly, and all that jazz. But the food? It just didn't cut it. I mean, where was the spice, the depth, the soul of Indian cuisine?
So, if you're up for a chill hangout spot, ethical India as might do the trick. But if you're craving an authentic Indian food fix, you're better off taking a...
