Fast friendly service of delicious food, what more can you ask for? We shared appetizers of spring rolls and dim sum. Both of these were light, fresh and flavorful, perfect openers to the main courses. I had the pork sisig, which was like a pork fried rice on steroids. It was served sizzling hot on a cast iron plate and you had to mix the freshly cracked egg into the piping hot pork and sauce. Served with a side of perfectly cooked rice it was delicious with just enough heat to not mask the flavours of the pork and well balanced sauce. My wife had the chicken Adobo, which was a quarter chicken on the bone in a sweet and tangy sauce and served with a side of rice and perfectly crunchy vegetables. Only two small negatives of Isla Kusina is:
Never ever did we think there would be authentic Filipino food in a small town but man, delicious doesn't even begin to describe it. There's a reason this has all five stars! The food was hearty and comforting and filling! Good portions, great prices, excellent service, and we had such a delightful meal we personally thanked the owner. The Palabok had big shrimps and generous amounts of ground pork! The garlic bread that came with it was yummy too! My husband had the Adobo which had large pieces of chickens and the soya sauce was thick and sweet. As full as we were after, we couldn't pass on the Halo halo which is one of the best I've ever had. The ingredients blended perfectly together and it was the perfect ending to a fantastic meal.
Highly recommend anyone passing by to stop here to enjoy some wonderful food!!
Update: We came back for breakfast! And had the porksilog and special silog. Everything was good but the fried pork was overcooked and tough. It did get more tender closer to the bone. We ordered another halo halo...

Extremely friendly and sweet service. Shout out to the sweet lady Bell who was serving us with a smile. She was really understanding for the fact that one of us was a pure vegetarian and he could order a fully vegetarian friedrice and Sisig with tofu... He loved the dish too.
