Location: Just off the 138, outside the village. They have a small parking lot available.

The place: Standard diner-style layout and decor, with a small bar.

The goods: We stopped in twice to do takeout; the first time, we both ordered Club Sandwiches and this came with fries. The second time, we ordered two 9" pizzas and a side of Caesar salad. The food was great, but the first time, there was no mayo included which left the chicken pretty dry, and one of us didn't get utensils. The pizza was great but they gave me the wrong one. I wanted an all-dressed and got a pepperoni.

Service: Friendly and quick! Both times, our orders were ready in about 15 minutes. You also have the option of calling ahead or ordering online.

Price point: Considering Tadoussac is all about tourism, the prices here are very reasonable and in line with what I would pay back home.

Nous sommes deux serveurs qui travaillons également avec les touristes dans la vieux port de Montréal. Nous avons commandé chez chantmartin une poutine et une pizza végétarienne. La poutine était tiède, mais nous l'avons quand meme mangé puisque nous avions faim. La pizza VEGETARIENNE en revanche était toute mouillée, goutait l'eau et avait des ingredients comme des champignons non mentionnés dans le menu. Elle était mouillée dut aux choux fleurs et brocolis congelés que le gérant a admis plus tard avoir mis sur la pizza. Évidemment, nous avons pris l'initiative de la retourner parce qu'on ne voulait pas payer pour une pizza mouillée sans gout, on voulait payer la poutine en revanche. Une fois qu'on a interpellé la serveuse elle a roulé les yeux aux ciel et a fait fis de ne pas comprendre notre requête en allant chauffer la pizza. On a demandé a voir le gérant pour simplement enlever la pizza qui n'a pas été touchée de notre facture. Je ne sais pas ce qui a pris au gérant, mais on venait de lui faire une attaque personnelle. On lui a proposé de payer son cost de la pizza et il n'a rien entendu. J'ai essayé de calmer la situation en lui disant qu'il n'etait pas obligé d'etre condescendant et dans la confrontation et il a répliqué qu'il préférait être dans la CONFRONTATION. Mon analyse de cette situation puis qu'il semblait un homme intrinsèquement doux (meme avec sa rage sur nous, puisqu'il tremblait un peu pendant sa mise en scene) qui a dut se parler dans le miroir le matin pour sauver le restaurant, qu'on semblait jeune (je suis pas certain qu'un vieux couple aurait payer), alors qu'on est dans la trentaine qu'il pouvait se permettre de nous forcer a payer parce qu'il nous savait touristes et qu'on ne voudrait pas gâcher nos vacances avec la police meme si on était totalement légitime. En gros il nous a obligé de force a payer la pizza apres 20 minutes de discussion a essayer de le raisonner. donc, une pizza, la poutine et le tips (parce qu'on est pas des salaus) a couté 47 dollars. Great food, great service! I really enjoyed eating here. Had the fried pickles as a starter. They were crisp on the outside and juicy on the inside. For my main meal, I got the fish and chips, served with fries and salad. Everything was delicious. The batter on the fish was nice and crispy and the fish was hot and tender. The fries were good and I really liked the salad dressing. My husband got a hot chicken sandwich and enjoyed it too. I was a little unsure about eating here because it's in the parking lot of a hotel, but I would definitely recommend coming here for a great meal at a reasonable price.
