Our standard double Room had coffee machine but no milk or coffee satchets, had hair dryer and fridge, fan. It was on ground floor so we dint hv to climb. Location was amazing. We could walk everywhere. Intermarche supermkt next door and boutiques and restaurants on street. Lovely river view in front. Jetty for whale cruises within 5 minutes walk. The lady at reception(feel terrible tht we dint get her name) was wonderful. Since we dint have a car, she picked us up and dropped us to the intercar bus stop which was 1.5 kms away over steep incline. We are really grateful to her. She refused to take payment. Amazing customer service. Fixed breakfast was available fr 9 CAD. We hd omlette, 2 toast and butter, potato wedges, bacon or sausages, cut fruit, coffee and orange juice. You have to pay 1.5 CAD fr each extra. Though the staff does not speak english at all, we managed with gestures. They were very sweet ladies, always smiling and helpful|||| · Room and Double bed was small in standard double room. Unless you are a young romantic couple, it is a bit tight. Also light was quite dim. Wifi dint work on the first day and on our last day morning. Shower...
Read moreThe internet supplied by the hotel was sketchy but I found the signal from the tourist office and used that in my room. It worked fine. The room was really small and very hot. No air conditioning. It was exceptionally warm out, 32 degrees. There was a fan. The worlds smallest bathroom, no fridge but the desk clerk was happy to provide free buckets of ice. The breakfast was excellent and free unless you book the room through booking.com in which case you pay $8. Still the best price in town. Restaurants are super expensive here. Very reasonable grocery store. Great central location, walk to harbour and boats for whale watching. The boat ride is really worth it. $80 well spent. Room was $157 inc. tax. Far too expensive for...

Good linens, mattress, but very dark dim lighting in both room and bathroom. Small things like no shampoo etc, having to go to front desk to purchase kurig cups for in room coffee maker, seemed a bit chincee after paying $200/night.|But then, again Etienne made up for that when, once again she let us in early for breakfast that was delicious . Something to be noted…..Perhaps designating just 1 of 9 outside seating areas for smokers might be nicer then having them sit on the...
