Polly's Cafe — Restaurant in Terrace

The worst "chicken" fried rice that we have had in our entire lives. There was a sprinkling of shredded chicken so tiny that it was the consistency of grated cheese on top of a generic fried rice that was bland with a hint of unpleasant flavour. No vegetables at all! Clearly, all of their fried rice is the same with just a meagre sprinkling of whatever on top. Small portions. Very skimpy chicken wings with no batter or flavour of any sort besides stale oil: very dry and funky tasting. The lemon chicken was okay, and it was the only decent sized portion of anything that we ordered. The egg roll was doughy, heavy, and gross. Avoid. It was expensive to start with, and completely disappointing. What a waste of good...

The food here isn't just mediocre, it's downright disgusting. Not so much the flavor of any individual item just how they are combined but what really gets me is the dismal quality of the meat used. Short ribs barely had enough meat on them to make them worth eating and the almond "chicken" was 80% batter, no exaggerating. It also had a texture like it had been waterlogged. Then I'm still paying 25$ for a plate that didn't even fill me.

I'm I'm astounded this place has any higher then two star average, I guess as far as Chinese food goes in Terrace it...

MSG makes up for low quality foood. If you are one of those people that likes to scrape off batter and see what's inside, you might be surprised or disappointed. The pork in my sweet and sour pork was grey.....pork should always be white in the center. You are paying a lot for what you are getting, but it is better than the other chinese joints in town. In conclusion Polly's cafe makes chinese food in any mall food court look like...
