Do not stay here! Run away!! I was here just for one night on business. Online I figured it looked fine, in real life it’s scary. Belongs in a horror movie. Everything is dark, dingy, smells. The room was tiny and gross. The shower looked like something you’d find in a prison cell, plus it was tiny. The sink area is separate from the rest of the bathroom area. After a shower I grabbed the hair dryer, went to the mirror and sink area…. No outlet for the plug!!!! I searched all around , under the sink, behind the ironing board… nothing. I had to use the tiny makeup mirror I had with me and a plug near the bed to do my hair. The walls were basically paper and I could hear everything. I didn’t sleep well at all. The fridge in the room was so loud, I had to unplug it. The ac stopped working. Just don’t stay here.

The staff are fantastic, super friendly folks and accommodating when able. Housekeeping does an awesome job. Beds and bedding seem to be newer and very comfy. The rooms themselves are dated though. They've put newer amenities in (furniture, beds, appliances), but it's putting lipstick on a pig. I've stayed in 10ish rooms, and the common themes seem to be stained/damaged/or peeling walls, bathrooms fixtures that are showing their age, and sink/shower drainage issues. Posting this after staying in 260, which had a giant bulge in the ceiling as pictured. Not the end of the world, but also slightly unsettling. Not a bad place, but needs work.

My room is clean and neat but the window lock is broken and the glass cracked. A hanger is being used to make sure no one can open the window as there is the roof of Denny’s right outside my window. I will advise management when I check out. Also, there is no room number at the door. All the rooms around it have a number. ??? I let the front desk know when I was checking out about the broken window lock. I was given $20 in Denny’s gift cards. Which was nice. But I think they should have discounted my room as well. Plus I don’t have a Denny’s where I live.

This place has gone way above and beyond (as far as I’m concerned)

Recently, a local apartment building was evacuated and a good majority of the tenants were displaced Sandman Hotel in Terrace stepped up and in partnership with ESS provided rooms for over 10 families on very short notice, and was even able to accommodate those with pets!

The staff were very efficient, patient, and friendly with dozens of people who were very emotional and anxious about the situation - they handled questions and concerns calmly and with care, making sure we were all settled and felt welcome

When I tried to thank them they replied with “we are just doing our job” but it was way more than that - the tenants at the hotel stay had to be extended a number of times, but the staff continue to treat the tenants as valued guests and check in to make sure we are doing well, and it doesn’t just feel like “professional curtesy” they care

Given the circumstances, some tenants have been understandably upset or frustrated, and some of the pets that have been brought to the hotel are unaccustomed to such big changes - the staff have been handling things with gentleness and understanding - I have never heard any of them be at all short or curt

They were not expecting such an influx of people with no notice, and they’ve handled it amazingly

During our stay here they’ve made me feel like they genuinely care about what’s happening with us and they’ve embodied the heart of what it means to be “community”

I don’t know if these reviews mean much, but for what it’s worth THANK YOU so much to all the staff at Sandman in Terrace, you all are awesome and very much...

I arrived at the counter at 1pm with no reservation and Victoria was so kind as she shuffled some rooms to make sure she could fit me into a room right away, even though I was three hours before usual check in time. She was so friendly and we laughed together the whole time at the desk. Not the kind of service I’m used to travelling for work! I was so happy. The room was spacious with a huge window, desk, and super comfortable king bed. The AC was great and the room was super clean. The area was really easy to find and quiet. All the staff was great. My checkout in the morning was really smooth. If I’m ever back in Terrace I will 100% stay here again. Thanks Victoria for being just a wonderful human being, and saving my day with all the extra work you did to get me in early. I...
