Applebee's Grill + Bar — Restaurant in Thunder Bay

I have to be honest with a middle of the road rating. I don't think I've ever had a meal here that I could classify as great. It's not terrible, either. It's just okay. My last few visits, though, I left feeling like I could have had a better meal if I whipped something up at home. My most recent experience was a burger that was dry enough that it fell apart when i bit into it. The french onion soup tasted like it came from a can and was microwaved. Nothing was awful per se, but none of it was good either.

The servers are generally very pleasant. Our server apologized when we discussed how the food was for us. She was prompt and helpful throughout. I'd say the service is definitely the bright spot here.

The atmosphere is kinda... well... average. Nothing really stands out, but I don't think it's something I'd even noticed if the food was great.

Stopped by Applebee’s and honestly had a great experience from start to finish. The staff were super friendly and welcoming, and the service felt genuine—our server kept checking in without being overbearing, which I really appreciated.

I decided to go with the Cowboy Burger, and it did not disappoint. It was juicy, packed with flavor, and came out hot and fresh. The toppings all worked perfectly together, and the portion size was more than satisfying. My friend went with the Chicken Strips, and they were exactly what you’d hope for—crispy on the outside, tender inside, and paired with really good dipping sauces.

It's been a really long time since we last came to Applebee's and I thought we were coming here for a nice supper.

Food was rushed out. Ordered Chicken Bites and they were swimming in sauce, had to use napkin to get alot of the sauce off them.

Ordered 2 steaks, cook of steaks were spot on but the seasoning was almost none existent. One steak had poutine with it and cheese curds were like ice and didn't get have a chance to melt, made fries cold quickly. We also ordered Loaded Crispy Potatoes and there was so much sour cream that couldn't eat or taste anything else.

When one person was done eating survey took all plates away when still picking at meal. Would have been nice to bring home left over steak home for pups.
