Boston Pizza — Restaurant in Thunder Bay

My friends and I reservations for 10 pm on December 15th 2023 at the Boston pizza on Arthur street and we had an amazing time. We all ordered appetizers which were all very good, i had gotten myself Thai Chicken bites, Spicy Onion rings, a glass of wine and worms and dirt for dessert. I had never had the Thai chicken bites or Spicy Onion rings before but it was worth while to try and would order again. I was also very happy that they still had worms and dirt as I haven't had that since I was a child and it was a nice treat to have again. As well everything was reasonably priced with my order being under $50 before tipping. Our server Jackie K was very helpful, polite, cheerful and on-top of serving as we didn't have to even ask for refills on our drinks as our server would bring us new ones after she saw our glasses were empty and making sure our overall time was enjoyable. Our server made our night even better as normally I don't like going out due to some servers not being the kindest however all the staff especially our server were very pleasant and made the experience even better as great servers always make a difference when it comes dining out. Ordered a pasta dish for pick, and requested extra garlic bread. Took one bite, and that was enough for me. Also, there seemed to be no butter at all. Garlic bread is supposed to be buttery and savoury. This was unbelievably dry, and I did not see or taste a drop of butter. I almost choked on it from how dry it was.

Reasons like this is why I always tell myself to never tip on takeout. Because I need to see and try the food first, to know how to tip properly. But every single time it gets to me. The young person working, taking my order, knowing they don't get paid enough, and I do it everytime, I over tip. I'm an overly generous tipper and this is what I get.

This is NOT the first time this location of Boston Pizza in the city has served me this kind of garlic bread. I will never come back to this location again. We are sticking to the memorial one. Delivered the wrong item! I was told when it was delivered that they don't deliver to this hotel and to not order for delivery here again. Meanwhile I gave the address and distance to the person who took my order.

Update: I was in contact with a manager who offered to make it right, so I visited this location a second time 1 week later, for take out. The order was correct. However, the item was not as described/pictured on the BP menu. I ordered the grilled pineapple, beet and goat cheese salad, which was missing the slivered almonds, and was made with canned pineapple instead of grilled pineapple as advertised. It also had spinach in it which was not described on the menu. All in all, the effort to make it right was appreciated; I just would like to see the menu items created as described and pictured on the BP Menu, which may be a result of ingredient shortages or lack of staff training.
