Carlito's Cafe — Restaurant in Thunder Bay

Nice atmosphere, but the guy that works there (didn’t catch a name) will unfortunately be why I don’t return. when he isn’t just playing games with his friends, my wife and I thought he was pretty rude in the one interaction I had, and on a separate occasion, a friend of mine reportedly had the same issue. food was subpar, coffee was pretty good, unfortunately the experiences with that one particular staff member will keep me from coming back which is a shame, it’s a nice space to sit down and play some games with friends. (For a fee) Since our experience here I looked around for other game stores and, I’d have to fully recommend the gameshelf. Ok first off my original review was deleted!! So I will write it again. Worst customer service, wondering if it’s new management because everything is horrible! Dude couldn’t even do basic math when I asked for my change back, the sandwiches are so awful (they used to be amazing) big knives in the back room so what you’re kids because clearly Carlitos doesn’t care about safety. Tables are never washed, bathrooms rarely have toilet paper, all the staff do is sit at a table with their card games, maybe hang out at a house and not a business. What a gem! I'm definitely going to be coming back every week now that I know this place exists. It is incredibly affordable which is really nice as there's not many places to choose from when you're on a budget. The staff are friendly. The beverages were great. Board game was lots of fun.
