Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen — Restaurant in Thunder Bay

Update: No more, line ups here. Lots of people tried it, and it was busy the first month in two, but after the novelty wore off, it's just like any other chicken place.....

Well, a friend wanted to go and try the chicken sandwich, absolutely ridiculous prices, and it wasn't even good. I read some reviews, and someone said the chicken sandwich was a good deal at $7. We just paid $10 for the chicken sandwich...... The pickles tasted like old cucumber and made the breading soggy. Could use a little more mayo to cover up that awful flavor. I barely ate 1/4 of it and just threw it in the garbage ... and now I will definitely not go back.... Absolutely hate it when food is premade and kept under heat lamps, especially when they aren't busy .....

KFC will get my business or Mary Brown's next time I go for chicken....

Lineup at the drive thru wasn't too long but if you want to try the spicy chicken strips (they call them tenders but they are NOT tenders of the chicken breast - it's chicken breast cut into thick strips) you will have to go early because they were out by 1 in the afternoon. I can say I've been there and tried it, but I probably won't go back unless it's because someone I'm with wants to go. I have nothing bad to say about this place, but I don't understand what the big deal is because it's still deep-fried chicken .... greasy ..... lots of breading , yay more to...

I came back after trying the 3 piece chicken and got the spicy chicken sandwich with Cajun fries. Omg this is the most amazing fast food I’ve had. I give it a .92. It is better than KFC and is even compatible to Daytonas chicken sandwich. The quality and service of this restaurant is amazing ! 5 stars

Overall the chicken is great. The Mac and cheese is mediocre. The mashed potatoes are below mediocre. The biscuits are fine but are a touch too salty.

Popeyes Vs KFC Popeyes is juicer and not as greasy and the breading is nice. Objectively KFC has a better seasoned breading although greasier when fried . However the chicken is much drier.

For the price of 15.00 I got three pieces of chicken two sides and a large drink as well as a biscuit. This is my first time having Popeyes but I would return again and maybe just stick with the chicken. Bought a 12 pack of tenders for roughly $40, which were very odd in texture eat and some pieces being inedible (Dog was happy to get the gross parts). I spent the better part of the last week emailing back and forth with Popeyes hoping to give them another chance and after a handful of emails, I was given a generic phone number for the store. Seems as though I'd have to explain everything and comb through emails to find the receipt details over the phone and hope for a resolution. Honestly I'd rather just eat the loss and accept the negative experience. $40 for chicken should not be icky, nor should it take almost a week to get any sort of resolution. Even if that resolution is being told that nothing will be done. Update to review: After indicating that it was easier to chalk up to a bad experience then to go further with a replacement request, a Manager a popeyes reached out through email and offered a store credit for a little less then purchase price for a replacement 12 pack.
