Pine Dairy Bar — Restaurant in Timmins

I've gone to Pine Dairy Bar for many years. I live nearby and its quick, cheap, and ok-ish tasting food the majority of the time. I went there one afternoon this week and the place was dead. That's fine, its the middle of the afternoon - its not exactly the lunch rush. I ordered myself the daily special and sat down to eat.

The owner comes in and checks the receipt, he decides I haven't paid enough for my special and tells me I need to pay 3 dollars more. The thing is, I had already begun eating my meal. I was 10 bites into my order when I was told I had to pay more.

I was furious at being nickle and dimed for something. Accidents happen but its not like it was my fault the person entering my order didn't charge me right. If I had got it "to-go" would he have looked at the video footage, tracked me down, and decided that I needed to pay him 3$ in the street or the next time I was there? This is just one of the many stories people have of Mr Owner being greedy or rude to his customers. Ask around town yourself. Its no wonder the...

VERY RUDE OWNER, and it starting to show with other new reviews We went for a bike ride to Pine Dairy bar to get an ice cream cone at the window. The owner opened the window and asked us if we could order inside, but we said that had our bikes and would like to order at the window if possible, since he was already talking to us through it. He got flustered and said he'd have to clear out the inside of the window (there was two water bottles on the counter in front of it) and said fine, but he'd have to serve all of customers inside first even though we had been standing there for roughly 5 minutes. If he said the window was closed, fine, but he didn't. There was a kind woman walking in that who was starting her shift and she offered to go take the order inside for us, saying that that they don't stand for being rude to customers. We declined politely and decided to leave and go get delicious Wendy's frostys instead.

Shame on the owner for being disrespectful, petty and condescending. Would not recommend...
