Toujours Mikes — Restaurant in Timmins

Me and my girlfriend had breakfast at this restaurant, the waitress greeted us at the door, and was very displeasing. She then seated us at a table, right in the middle of the restaurant, so we asked very kindly to switch to a booth. The waitress so rudely picked up our utensils and napkins and moved it to a booth and said absolutely nothing. This booth so happened to be another waitress’ area. We ordered our food and just after doing so, they were arguing about us, right in front of us! Never asked us for refills on our drinks, French toast was uncooked, and tasted like playdough, the hollandaise sauce tasted like warm water, and had no flavour. I had also ordered a parfait, which I ate with my fork, because she didn’t give me a spoon, never came to ask us if everything was okay, ( which it wasn’t ) and this was a very unpleasant experience. Was elated when I saw them on DoorDash! But if you can manage to visit the restaurant I recommend going. Its a great atmosphere for any and all occasions. From the owner to the staff, everyone there is just top shelf. The food is phenomenal. The prices are still affordable to take the family out for dinner and not have mortgage the house. And im saying that, the ingredients aren't cheap and you can taste that in everything you order!! Kudos Manny, (owner). Whos owned and ran countless successful restaurants in town over the years..from early fond memories as a young child eating at Mates, to concerts and wonderful nightlife experiences at Amigos, to today ...35 years later, gushing over the best pizza ive ever had at Mikes! Went there with my Son I spent 65 $ plus tip I gave 72 $ for 2 diet pepsi 2 frozen fry poutines cold curds ,6 piece chicken bite and aparent fried chicken add on which was chicken strips cut in pieces ! On the menu they have chicken fingers on another page so it would make sense to me that a fried chicken add on would be actual bone in chicken or am wrong !? I feel robbed that was a crazy price for 2 people and cheaped with the frozen foods it's a full service restaurant could be some home made items like fresh cut fries I feel . I could have walked over to food basics and got all those items from the freezers feed my whole family and then some .
