Walking into Wacky Wings, you’re immediately struck by its warm, welcoming atmosphere. The soft lighting, tasteful décor, and upbeat yet relaxed vibe make it the perfect place for everything from a casual night out with friends to a romantic dinner. The seating arrangements were comfortable and spacious, with each table thoughtfully spaced to ensure a cozy, intimate dining experience, while still maintaining a lively energy throughout the restaurant.
There’s a modern charm to the space—contemporary art on the walls, rustic touches of wood and brick, and lush plants scattered throughout. It’s clear the owners have taken great care in curating the aesthetic to make it not just a place to eat, but a place to relax and unwind.
The Menu: A Culinary Masterpiece. Wacky wings offers a diverse menu that blends traditional flavors with inventive, contemporary twists. Whether you’re in the mood for a classic dish like a perfectly seared steak or craving something more adventurous, you’ll find something here to suit every taste. The restaurant’s commitment to sourcing fresh, local ingredients is apparent in every dish.
We started with appetizers, ordering a selection of shareable plates. The truffle fries were crispy, golden perfection, with a generous drizzle of truffle oil and fresh parmesan. The crab cakes were packed with tender, sweet crab and complemented by a tangy aioli sauce that balanced out the richness of the seafood beautifully.
For the main course, I opted for the pan-seared salmon, which was cooked to absolute perfection—crispy on the outside while moist and flaky on the inside. The accompanying vegetable medley was fresh and flavorful, and the lemon-butter sauce added a delightful zing without overpowering the delicate flavor of the fish.
My friends ordered the bone-in ribeye steak and the wild mushroom ravioli. Both dishes were absolute winners. The steak was juicy and full of flavor, with the perfect char on the outside, and the ravioli was delicate, with a rich, earthy mushroom filling that melted in your mouth. We paired our meals with a bottle of red wine from their extensive wine list, and it was the perfect complement to our dishes.
The Star of the Show: Kyleigh While the food was nothing short of outstanding, the real highlight of our evening was our waitress, Kyleigh. From the very beginning, it was clear that she was not just there to take our order—she was there to make sure we had the best possible experience.
Kyleigh greeted us with a bright, nwarm smile that immediately put us at ease. She introduced herself and made us feel welcome, almost like we were regulars, even though it was our first visit. She took the time to explain the menu with enthusiasm and passion, offering detailed descriptions of the specials and her personal favorites. Her recommendations were spot on, and it was clear she knew the menu inside and out.
What set Kyleigh apart from any other server I’ve encountered was her ability to anticipate our needs before we even realized them. She would pop by the table just as we were about to ask for something, whether it was a refill on our drinks, a question about the ingredients in a dish, or simply a need for more napkins. She seemed to have an intuitive sense of what each table required to make the meal more enjoyable, without ever being intrusive.
Her timing was impeccable. Our appetizers arrived promptly, followed by the main courses at just the right interval. She was attentive but not overbearing, always checking in with us just enough to make sure everything was perfect, but never interrupting our conversation or making us feel rushed. It’s a delicate balance, and...
Read moreThis was one of the worst experiences I’ve had in a long time at a restaurants and myself and my husband go to eat out at least three times a week .Upon entering and being seated at the bar while waiting for the rest of our party,we sat for at least 10 min without even being acknowledged ,the waitress was behind the bar ,walked by us at least 3 or 4 times ,looked right at us then left the bar area, then we just sat there. If i would not have been waiting for others i would have left right then. Apparently wacky wings in Timmins has no ketchup whatsoever lol I asked for ketchup three times, And everybody at the table also noticed and made a joke about it, saying I guess there is no ketchup in the whole establishment, the restaurant was totally dead btw, maybe 3 tables of guests so being busy wasnt an excuse.. and when I asked for extra pickles upon ordering my burger they brought me three little containers of relish, which is not pickles btw ,and i also had to ask twice for the extra pickles, had they informed When I first asked that they don’t actually have pickles,I would’ve said no to the burger, relish is not pickles, Also the person taking care of our table might’ve come by twice in a three hour period to see how we were doing , Unacceptable ,Left hungry as i didnt eat my meal,no ketchup for my fries and no pickles for my burger. It was not what I ordered. ..as I said, we go out many many times a week for supper/lunch .Very very disappointing considering I was taking my children out for a celebration dinner …would not recommend this restaurant at all!!!! Only good thing i can say was at least the beer was cold once someone finally did serve us. I don’t live here so I don’t have to go there ever again , I would not recommend anybody to go to this establishment , Very very...
Read moreThis makes me sad to write this but tonight we dined in at around 5:45, we waited 15 mins before anyone even came to our table, our server finally comes and takes our drink order, I asked for a Diet Coke and my husband asked for a pint of bud. Took another 15 mins before we got our drinks. So a half hour was spent already there and we didn’t even order food yet. Ordered an app and wings with fries. Our app didn’t come out as an app, it came out with our food. Our food was fantastic and came out in decent time. However the service was an absolute disgrace. I don’t typically complain but I couldn’t help it this time. We dine here often but tonight the ball was dropped hard. Our server was absolutely awful. It looks like communication in there tonight was non existent. There were tables on the patio that hadn’t even been seen. This is unacceptable guys. We won’t be back for a while in hopes that the service issues get addressed and dealt with accordingly. I understand with the staffing shortage and it being a Sunday and it was busier, things can take longer however your service from staff should never be poor. Visit the table, explain to the table it’s busy, engage with them and carry a conversation, but to be completely ignored is not okay. You come out to be served and have a nice dinner out, not to be forgotten or ignored. It’s just so disappointing. My husband and I are new to Timmins and it sucks that we can’t seem to find a place to go where we don’t get ignored. I hope this serves as constructive criticism and is taken in a way of improving things rather than brushed off as just “another angry guest”. We love the food here and would love to see the place have a better atmosphere and staff be pleasant...
