The bakery owner tells me that this is a "Greek Bakery" and there is plenty evidence of that inside the store. Lots of choices of fresh baked bread and the ones I have tried are delicious...fresh and rustic tasting. The is a giant showcase full of cookies and squares...all tasty so far (they are sold by the pound and I am slowly making my way through the inventory). There is also a very large selection of Greek and Mediterranean pre-packaged and canned goods from oils to olives, crackers to candy, dolmathes, tahini, fig jams and spreads, etc. There is also a large dairy section. Lots of fun to shop here for both familiar and "new" ingredients and munchables. They serve a variety of fresh coffees ranging from espressos to Capuchinos and tea is also available. There are several high stools at an interior "window bar" and a selection of cafe table sets outside on the sidewalk. The front door is level with the sidewalk so I will guess that it is wheelchair accessible. Parking is available on the street. The friendly and cheery staff make this a pleasant and tasty shopping experience. I recommend that you...
Read moreAbout a week ago I went into the Bakery to purchase a couple of greek items. I wanted to buy the Attiki 500g Greek honey but none of them had the sticker price on, so I asked the girl behind the counter. She wasn't sure about the price so she asked the owner. The owner said the price for that particular brand was $20 plus change. I was shocked! I said that all the other Greek bakeries were selling the same honey between $16-$17. She then said that because of Covid the prices have been marked up. I ended up buying the honey because I believed her. I went to another Greek bakery the other day (Select bakery) and saw that they had the same honey for $17 plus the other items I had bought was much cheaper than Arto's. Very disappointed with Arto Bakery very over priced! There wasn't any sticker prices on selected items either. Will not be buying anything from...
Read more"I went to this store yesterday to buy cookies for gifting and for my home. However, when I tried them at home, I found that they were not delicious at all. Although they looked beautiful, I suspect that the store used cheap oil or ghee to make them. It is not acceptable to pay around $45 and receive low-quality cookies. I have previously bought cookies from a Greek, Turkish, and Middle Eastern store, and they tasted so much better. I felt embarrassed after giving them as a gift. Unfortunately, I won't be going to this store again as their service was terrible. The girls who work there hurry when you order anything, and their baklava is terrible. I wouldn't recommend this store to anyone. If you have already tasted real petit four and baklava, you'll know what I mean. This store's products have a bad taste and are not good for...
