l’Arte del caffè is located in a new medical building. If you’re coming from the North, it’s right before the bridge towards Shops at Don Mills and a little hard to spot if the electronic sign didn’t have their ad on.
We went in and found a modern and bright little cafe with all glass walls. You would never image them to have a pizza oven, but they did. The owner was there along with a sweet barista, they had a lot to recommend and we decided on a pizza and went for a melted hot chocolate they highly praised.
First came the latte, I could smell the aroma once they grinded the Italian imported beans. They poured a perfect rosettes. You know the milk is frothed perfectly when the design stays even as you sip the coffee. And it tasted as good as it looked. Next came the pizza which I didn’t have a high expectations for since they didn’t really have a kitchen but it was great too. For $10, we got as many toppings as we wanted, our pizza had prosciutto, chicken, mushroom and topped with arugula. The crust was baked to a perfect crisp and the amount of sauce and toppings was just right.
Of course, the service was great too. The barista and owner checked up on us to make sure everything was good, the barista is exceptionally kind. When we paid the bill, the owner told us that almost everything they serve comes from Italy and that his family owns l’Arte del caffè in Italy.
Located at 1262 Don Mills Road, it’s nice to have a good latte place without having to go all the way downtown and you don’t have to break the bank for an excellent...

Since going to Baretto for the first time, it has become one of my favourite Coffee / Breakfast and Italian lunch places.
I have over the last two years become closely acquainted with Manuelle and his wife, Cristina, the owners. They are such lovely people and they put out the freshest and most delicious Italian food in the city. Its simple, fresh, homely and FREAKING DELICIOUS!!!
The coffee .....ohhhh the coffee...... If you have never heard of a Ginseng latte (i didn't), you absolutely need to go here and get it.
Things my wife and I have tried here so far: All the pizzas Lasagne Pasta Both the antipasto Caprese Salad Iced milk with mint Croissant Sfoglia Italian Cream puff Ginseng Latte Regular Latte
I give all of the above a 100/100 I give the service a 100/100
Original review.... I was in the Don Mills area and wanted a quick breakfast and was about to head to McEwans when I came across this place on yelp. It is located in the rear or this rather inconspicuous medical building. Let me start by saying that Yelp does not have the number of stars that I would like to give this place. The barista is a true gentleman named Manuelle who really makes you feel welcome. The place looks wonderful and there is another room as well that is a little more intimate and private. I had a coffee and a croissant and it's was delicious x . The place is clean, open and really relaxing. Will come back here for the food and post...
Read moreA hidden gem! An absolute fabulous warm and generous treatment from start to finish at this delightful establishment, by the owner, Manuel and his staff! I have been here a few times for breakfast and lunch, after visiting Alpha test lab and need a pick me up. The service is exceptional, my meals are modified to meet my personal preferences. The food is always fresh and delicious served with care and eagerness to satisfy the patron. So impressed and making this a destination place in my travels. I am particular about where I eat and this place served up food that would be created in my kitchen. The omelet today was made with olive oil and loaded with vegetables, I did not have to ask. Very generous and made by Manuel himself! Feel welcomed and appreciated!
The added treat is I never fail to meet his loyal long-time regulars here who have made this amazing discovery and are daily patrons, whether breakfast or lunch. One young lady held her child’s baptism meal here. The pearl of wisdom that was shared by an elder that I am embracing and sharing today is:
“Follow your dreams” otherwise you will regret it when you are older and no longer able to fulfill them in time.
By the way, the Americano coffee ( black) was incredible. It rivaled all coffees I had before! The aroma, the flavor!...
