I have ordered food multiple times from Bubby’s, mainly using the food ordering app or by phone. Good news is that the food is almost always delicious. Bad news is that they are very disorganized. Most of the time, food items listed as available are not available. Orders that are very basic can take one hour to be delivered, with the time almost always being later than originally stated. Worse news is that there is a bit of dishonesty associated with the unavailable items. Frequently, Bubby’s substitutes its own choice for missing items. This is unacceptable. Sometimes, no replacement is provided (which is good) but no refund is given. Other times, you get a call about one missing item, only to find out upon delivery that there are more missing/changed items. This is truly a love/hate relationship. As a New Yorker I was pretty appalled by both the service and the quality of the bagels. I was the only one in the shop and the bagels took way longer than they should. The guy barely put any cream cheese on them and I had to ask for more. I got two bagels: one with the works, one everything w scallion cream cheese. The one with the works was ok. Nothing special. The one with scallion cream cheese was a disaster and I three most of it away. The cream cheese had disintegrated and completely separated into what looked like oil and some white watery mess.
