Twice we came here in this place and this is the time I could say I was really disappointed. At first, I thought, I could let it pass since maybe I have a high expectation about food. The first time was when we had dinner. I thought that when I tasted the food, I am just looking for a real taste of a filipino dish. I am not being picky but I know the taste of a food of something that could be proud of. 2nd time was yesterday. Since the restaurant we wanted to go is still closed, we decided to go back and give their breakfast a try. I ordered tapsilog, my husband ordered a breakfast with tocino, sausage and egg...I don't remember the name of the menu...and my son ordered a non breakfast meal of barbecue with grilled pork belly. When mine and my son's order arrived, I was shocked coz the tapa is not the one I am expecting. It's beafsteak! I asked my husband if there is another kind of tapa 😂😂😂...and he laughed. He said maybe that's their version. Well, I kept what I felt about it till the server came back with my husbands order. I told the server directly that what she gave me is not tapa but instead, a beafsteak. She answered back saying oh, coz they put gravy on it. Seriously?!!! Fooling people is not good on business. Again, I just let my disappointment not consume me. We started eating and the usual way, we share what's in our plate...My husband gave me a piece of the sausage. I had a bite, I smelled something from it and put in on the side. Ok, just to get rid of what I smelled, I decided to take a taste of the pork belly frm my sons plate and dipped it in a vinegar with chili...3rd disappointment; pork belly tastes bland, it has bitter taste and the vinegar doesn't taste vinegar. It's like a water that was just added a drop of vinegar. I can't say nothing no more. I just stopped eating halfway of what is on my plate.

Read moreMy experience in this restaurant is horrible. The wait time is ok. I can wait forever for good food and good customer service. The workers are very unprofessional. So here comes my halo halo and mais con yelo. They just placed it on the counter and said, "here!" I told the lady, there is more. And she asked me, "what else?" I said, "you should know." How will you answer to this professionally? She should have said, "Oh sorry. I will go and check." Well she answered me with irritating voice, "I just got here." I was shocked! Wow... The workers here, they need polishing, I was in the food service and customer service as well. I know when I see poor customer service. Not just poor.. itis horrible. In addition to this, there was a young woman who ordered halo-halo. A few min after, she gave the halo-halo back because shou found a strand of hair in her halo-halo! Me, I am a nosy person when it comes to this. I looked at the spot where they make the halo-halo and behold!.. The lady who was made our halo-halo has no hairnet! Attention Ministry of Health! After ages of waiting our chicken was finally served. This was take out. The lady who brought our order to us said, "here, you check." I jokingly said, "there could be hair there too!" She answered me in a very unprofessional manner., " kaya nga pinapakita ko e." means, "that is why I am showing you." with a scowl on her face. And by the way, in the photos, you will see leche flan in opened containers. One in a filthy opened fridge, and the rest on the counter and more on the table. People were walking by that table. Three steps away from that table is the door to the washroom. So Imagine.... By the way, the halo-halo, just stripped jello, 12 pieces of tapioca ( yes I counted them), a dice of leche flan, ice, and maybe drops of milk. Where are the beans and the bananas, and the coconut jellies! in a few months, I will drop by and see if they are improving. But I will definitely NEVER recommend Food Trip Restaurant to anybody. Do not bring your non Filipino friends here. They will ruin the image of amazing...
Read moreI was in the area and looking around trying every Filipino restaurant then came across this place after having lunch at kabalen,i entered the place 3ppl in the dining doesn’t look busy but i saw 2 staff at front cramming for an order (maybe online) i was standing there for a good 9mins the staff didn’t even bother to ask if i need to order or have an order she just ask me if i want the halo halo with lid on, i was like “i didn’t order yet” and she’s like “oh ok” then yelled order of halo halo!! I stood up continuously thinking maybe she’d finally ask if i wanna order despite showing my interest in purchasing, Still turned her back and continue to do something else’s order,i asked the guy who’s holding a receipt and ask how long he has been waiting since he clearly got there before me and i was standing for almost 12mins now and he said 23mins already!!for a halo halo?? So i walked out.I would understand busy when i see one but then i realize they are also catering for jolly tops and no wonder they are taking forever for an order and cannot even prioritize walk in, my sister ordered online that afternoon tried it i can clearly say not worth it we had the halukay ube and it has limited ingredients and almost blunt to no taste,i would never enter or recommend this place for their services nor for the quality of the food. Try somewhere else there is a lot better choices...
