If you want to have a horrible experience, this is definitely the place to go. Although the performers and bands were great, it’s not enough to bring us back.

Last night me and a friend went to republika to watch our friend perform. We arrived at 1:00 am, and the security of the venue denied us at the door. We were able to get in, but the security told us that we were able to sit in but we weren’t able to order drinks. As we watched the performances, we saw all the tables around us get served alcohol. Literally shots and buckets of beers were being served. It was 1:30 am at this point. I called over a server, and asked her what time last call was and she told me just now. But as I was talking to her the same security guard motioned a “no” to her. We were still not getting served, not even a glass of water. Not one server looked in our direction, literally passing our table as if we weren’t even there. Moments later, a table behind us orders shots of alcohol, so I called over the security guard and asked him why we weren’t able to order any drinks and other tables could. All he did was shrug his shoulders and give me a thumbs up and no real explanation as to why we weren’t getting served.

At this point, we felt very discriminated because we couldn’t speak Tagalog. We agreed initially to just sit in, and we were okay with not ordering drinks, but to see that everyone else but us could get service was very unprofessional and frustrating.

We were very excited to go to republika because we like the food, drinks, and performances. But after last night, we will definitely not go back and wouldn’t even recommend any of our friends to go to...

On June 29th, 2021, I went to this restaurant alone to eat and taste the food that they prepare and serve. A lady noticed me standing at the entrance and I was offered a table. But after waiting for more than 15 minutes, no one bothered to come to take my order so I stood up and went to the counter. There was a tall guy who was standing on the counter but didn't even bother to ask what I need. So I asked him that I need to order food. He said to wait for a couple of seconds. Those seconds took another 10 mins so again I asked if I could order food as I was very hungry. Then he took my order. I went back to my seat feeling hungry. Fifteen minutes passed by, there was no food. So I just enjoyed myself watching YouTube videos. I saw the tall guy standing at the entrance door enjoying sending messages on his mobile phone without even bothering to check the customers. I got so frustrated when I saw a family who arrived 10 minutes after me being served their food orders. After 30 minutes of waiting I called the waitress to check my orders. After 5 minutes, one of my orders, the chop suey arrived. Then after another 10 minutes the rest of the orders arrived when the family who arrived after me was already enjoying their dinner. It took them 45 minutes to serve my order. There's a lack of training as far as customer service is concerned and it seems that the staff have none of those training at all. The speed of processing the orders is beyond normal and there is no systematic way of queuing the orders. Anyway, I still gave a $20 dollar tip for the very bad service of this restaurant. I promised myself that I will never be back to...

We went there roughly 5: ish, sit in a patio but before hand I called and asked about it lady answered yes open for patio. No one sitter in a patio only us , we’re unsure if waiting for a lady to come approach, sitter there a good 5 minutes, approached the guy who’s barbecuing about the service’ how it goes’, and said just sit there or go inside to notify costumer service. I went in and no one in a front desk or bar just few couples dining in. I backed in the patio and sit and wait, no one approached us. My partner went in and a lady said just come inside , it’s a nice summer weather to sit in by a patio and this lady worker forcing us to stay inside or said wait for 5 minutes for the menu to serve in. Okey waited m, it’s like 10 minutes now, considering that place at that moment is not busy, yet they ignored us completely. How is it positively when you called in before coming if patio is open for service . Give them another few minutes and no one comes in. So we decided to leave and go in different place. Which is soon as they see us coming to grab a sit in a patio they come out and approach us, that’s a ‘ COSTuMER SERVICE. To the lady who work specifically Sunday afternoon around 5 : 45 ish… you are lucking of manners and bit your lazy to serve costumer outside the the restaurant. You have no right to forced us to sit inside to serve in....
