I moved into the area about a year ago. Iv tried just about every restaurant in the neighborhood. This place is honestly fantastic. Its tucked away in the back of a plasa. I was recommended to go to it for the Samosa . And yes they are the best iv found anywhere in toronto east or west. I also recently became a vegetarian ( but I did try a number of there chicken dishes before deciding for personal reasons to not eat meat and they were excellent) all of the dishes have been fantastic . There is a number of vegetarian options ( apon request they can do them vegan. The vegetarian samosas are already vegan. Call ahead and most orders can be made in about 20 mins or soas long as they are not too busy. It's seems to be a take out only place and they also only take cash. Prices are more then reasonable . I get about $15 worth of Samosa and a few vegetarian dishes and end up spending about $40. But it's alot of food and I take it for lunches for days after dinner. Also keep in mind this is a family run bissness they close early ( 6ish I think. But call to check). One more thing most dishes are a little on the hot side. Not spicy in like medium spicy ish. But it's not...
Read moreIâve been patronising this hidden gem for a few months, usually for their samosas that are severely underrated. Given their size, crunch, fillings and price, their samosas might probably be the best in the GTA. You donât get an overly thick dough like how some allegedly âfamous spotsâ serve, nor do you get shortchanged by having minimal stuffings in it.
Ordered a party tray of Veg Pulao at last minute with 12 samosas and 12 Gulab Jamuns on New Yearâs Eve. Lo and behold, the veg pulao came with generous ratio of fresh vegetables to the rice and in no way the last minute call impacted the quality of the dish.
The gulab jamuns are not overly sweet, they were comfortably spongy and in no way turned hard like how many gulab jamuns tend to taste at stores that keeps them refrigerated for many days.
The couple running this place has got a lot of passion in what they serve. I know where I am getting my party trays from for any North Indian dishes in any of my...
Read moreHighly recommend for carry out orders! We picked up samosas from here. It seems to be a family owned and run business. The aunty and uncle working here are sooooo nice and provided such sweet customer service. They didnât have chicken samosas but it could be because I went at an odd time on a weekday. The prices are soooo great!!
There is no place to sit so basically a carry-out / catering only establishment. I ended up only ordering vegetarian samosas (alo muttar/potatoes and peas) and they were crispy and yummy! They have an extensive menu so we will be back. They didnât have to-go sauces but itâs okay because I have a variety of chutneys at home.
I came back and was told I should call in advance for the chicken samosas. Ordered some piping hot vege samosas again. Customers there told me their sweets are really delicious...
