Went for Fatherโs Day dinner here with the family. There was another table (a Karen) who made comments about keeping the kids volume down in the restaurant. Mind you the kids were not loud at all. However, the restaurant owners/ staff did not now how to handle the situation and told us we need to tell our 1 year old not to make noise. There was another kid in the restaurant who was screaming non-stop but we got the heat for it. Long story short, I let it slide after 45 mins until our kid had to go to the restroom and โKarenโ said you and your kid are disrespectful, if you google disrespectful you will see a picture of your daughter! I lost my cool at that point since we are out for Fatherโs Day at a family restaurant. I was told by Karen to get on a boat and go back where I came from (dude I'm born here in canada) we are in a multicultural country and Karen started making more racial comments. Instead of the staff/ owners telling Karen to stop, instead we were told not to make a commotion and sit down and eat our food. This is totally unacceptable to promote such behaviour and especially racial comments. There was literally two table in the restaurant at the time mine and Karenโs. and I was told they would call the cops because Iโm getting hyped about Karen making racial comments and telling me to go back where I came from. We literally got our main course and this fiasco happened, we lost our appetite to eat and did not feel welcomed into the restaurant. We decided to leave and pay our bill. All I want to say is if the owner/staff thinks this behaviour and comments are acceptable on their premise then they need to think twice.
FYI reply to jolly, there was only two tables in the entire indoor restaurant, mine and Karenโs. you allowed and promoted unacceptable behaviour. I have a video of the incident, Iโm happy to post it on social media. I was told numerous times to ignore the racial comments and continue with dinner. Iโm sorry, if you think that is okay it is not. We had to leave the restaurant since you refused to stand up and take ownership to tell Karen that her actions and behaviour should not be tolerated in your premise. However you told me you would call cops on me because I lost my cool for standing up to racism and will not tolerate such behaviour and repeatedly will stand up against any racial splurge comments against any community...

Did not even know this place existed until my wife and came across it, as we decided to go for a drive in the area to look for a place to eat. The place looks old and run down, but had plenty of local customers when we visited on a Friday evening. It was busy, but not too crazy that we we're accomodated quite promptly and comfortably. They have a patio area where we asked to be seated, and got to enjoy quite a bit of the sun just before it set. Our server was very friendly and respecftul. We really enjoyed being served by him with his promptness and mindfulness, as he constantly checked up on each guest without being too overbearing. Even commending him for serving a handful of tables by himself. Atmosphere: 3/5 ; Service: 5/5
They have a good selection of classic Italian dishes, from appetizers, pastas & pizzas, and heavier main plates. We ordered some staple choices for appetizers: Bruschetta & Grilled Squid. The bread they used is very delicious, however we hoped that they used some sort of balsamic glaze on top of tomatoes and cheese. It just felt like it was missing something. Grilled squid was cooked perfectly, however, I wish they could've done more with the seasoning. The squid was basically just sitting on top of melted butter & lemon juice. For the main course, I ordered the braised lamb with sessonal veggies and potatoes. Veggies and potatoes we're amazing, the lamb had great flavour but had barely any meat. It was very tender and seasoned well, but I hoped that it was way...
ย ย ย Read moreIt genuinely breaks my heart to be writing this updated review. For over 30 years, this restaurant has been my favorite spot for Italian food, a place Iโve cherished and recommended to countless friends and family. Itโs been my โGo-Toโ for as long as I can remember, and over the years, it has reliably provided wonderful meals and memories.
I was disappointed but understanding when they removed the crab cakes from the menu a year or two ago, as they were one of my early favorites. Still, I found comfort in their Pollo Fiorentina, a dish I could always count on to be just right. This dish alone has kept my loyalty and remains the reason I rate them above average.
However, during my recent visits, Iโve noticed a shift in the quality and attention to detail that this place was once known for. My experience ordering a medium-rare steak was particularly disheartening. What arrived was a steak charred almost black on the outside, yet only somewhat medium on the insideโa clear indication that it was cooked too high and too fast. Itโs very rare for me to send a dish back. The last time i did was over 5 years ago when a bug fell into my pho. For the steak, after taking one bite, I felt I had no choice. The texture and taste simply werenโt enjoyable, which was quite a letdown from a place Iโve always held in high regard.
I write this with the hope that the restaurant can take this feedback as constructive insight. Itโs clear there is a special place in my heart for this establishment, and I would love nothing more than to see it return to the high standard it...
