JR Cafe - Just Right — Restaurant in Toronto

Popped in the other day and grabbed a sandwich. Greeted with a Warm hello and how are you today? Ordered a ham n cheese sandwich with bacon. Was not disappointed. The amount of meat. Was wow, tons of ham and bacon. Fresh chips tomatoes, lettuce and a nice cream cheese sprinkled with an Italian seasoning. Beauty bread toasted to perfection!! Now what this establishment goes through from time to time with some riff raff hanging out drunk, drinking on the curb side, drugs and other mental issues. What the woman deals with and assists in some situations is mind blowing. This woman deserves a medal. I live across the street and pay witness many a time of the dealings. My hat goes off to her. While I understand parking is an issue because this place is located at the corner of Lansdowne and Dupont - coming outside and asking if I’m coming inside in an accusatory manner before I’ve barely even left my car is definitely not the solution. I was in the area to meet a client for work and googled this place as somewhere to grab something quick. Didn’t even happen and at this point never will. The option to not be in customer service or to not own a business with a parking lot is also an option this owner may...

The very definition of “don’t judge a book by its cover”. Lived across from here for a few years and never paid much attention. Finally decided we had to check it out.

Can’t believe we didn’t go sooner! Not only is everything excellent value, but the owner is extremely sweet. Yeah, it’s on a rough corner… but don’t let that deter you. The coffee was great, the sandwiches and pastries were great. The owners obviously put a lot of heart into what they do and it shows.
