Visited for the first time today. Immediate observations: restaurant was empty during the lunch hour minus one customer. The sole staff member is sitting down chatting while there are 3+ dirty tables that haven't been cleaned. A strange smell also permeates the establishment.
I place my order for a chicken shawarma wrap plus a drink. Staff member prepares the pita. To my surprise, the chicken was retrieved from a hot plate and placed directly into the sandwich without seeing the grill. This is an huge mistake, and the sandwich suffered tremendously from a textural perspective. The chicken was also lukewarm because it wasn't reheated before serving.
The portion size was good and ingredients were fresh. But the chicken itself was a disappointment.
Before I receive my sandwich, I ask the staff member if they've been busy since they opened a few months ago. He shakes his head no. I'm thinking to myself, it's kind of obvious why. As I'm leaving, I look back to see if the staff member is going to clean the tables. He does not, and instead sits back down to play on his phone.
Advice to management: you need to be present in your restaurant for quality purposes. The store should be slammed at 12:30. That it was empty should tell you something. Your staff obviously doesn't understand why the business is not doing well, but any customer with half a brain could point out the many issues . You need to get in there and turn the restaurant around before you end up closing.
I also recommend taking a visit to Two Brothers Shawarma which is eastbound along Lakeshore. They are constantly busy, because they not only understand how to make a great sandwich, but also because their store is spotless and inviting. A little bit of competitive insight could help you to spot the many simple errors your team is making and improve the...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of visiting Lazeez Shawarma, where I ordered a veg wrapâand I must say, it was absolutely outstanding! Iâve tried veg wraps at many other places before, but none have matched the flavor, freshness, and overall quality of the one I had here. It was, without a doubt, the most delicious wrap Iâve ever tasted.
What truly elevated the experience was the warm and welcoming nature of the owner, Gauri. Her hospitality and positive attitude made the visit even more special. Itâs clear that she genuinely cares about both her customers and the quality of the food being served.
The restaurant also maintains excellent standards of cleanliness and hygiene, which added to my overall satisfaction.
Iâm thoroughly impressed and highly recommend Lazeez Shawarma to anyone in search of amazing food and a memorable dining experience. Iâll definitely be coming back soon!
Rating: âââââ Thank you, Gauri, for the incredible food and exceptional...
