This was the best Tiramisu i've had, and I was looking forward to going back.
Then I read the ingredients... an, although I sincerely appreciate that they have them labelled! It was alarming what I found.
Not "homemade"...
Why they would use toxic known carcinogens and microbiome disruptors, and food dies is beyond me. Very little 'natural' about these...
Polysorbate 80 is used as an emulsifier in foods, though research suggests it may "profoundly impact intestinal microbiota in a manner that promotes gut inflammation and associated disease states."[6]
Carrageenan, or poligeenan, is not safe to eat. Research in animals indicates that it causes gut tumors and ulcers, and may even trigger colon cancer. Because of the possible danger, fewer studies have investigated the potential effects in humans.
Sodium Metabisulfite preservative linked to allergic reactions, respiratory irritation, and sensitivity reactions in certain individuals.
Propylene Glycol Synthetic additive linked to allergic reactions and irritation in sensitive individuals. Typically safe in food-approved quantities but controversial.

Read moreMessage for the owners: I was so excited when I found out that you have all these different flavours for tiramisu. Love it! Today was the first time I tried your your tiramisu and I picked one of my favorite flavours in the world, Earl Grey. Unfortunately I have to say I was pretty disappointed with the flavour and the texture. I feel like I barely got any Earl Grey flavour out of it. I feel like the cake was also far too moist. A friend was telling me that she tried every single one of them and she did warn me ahead of time of the exact same things. She said that she LOVES Nonna Lia's tiramisu, but Earl Grey is her least favorite because she feels the cake is too wet, and it's also the least flavourful of all of them.
I still really want to try the rest of your tiramisu! Can I make a request for you to adjust your recipe so that you steep the Earl Grey in VERY strong tea for a VERY long time so that the flavours really come out? ...
Read moreOrdered the hazelnut tiramisu cos I was craving tiramisu.
The packaging is really nice and you can tell that they took care in it. It came with a card that talks about the recipes they use for their tiramisu and the tiramisu itself comes in a container with a bow on top.
It is quite small. One person could certainly have their own if they wanted to. If you ordered tiramisu at a restaurant, this would be a similar portion for one order.
The quality is good. Taste is also good. I like the hazelnuts and the texture is creamy, as expected. It has a restrained sweetness, not over the top, and the coffee taste is also not really that strong.
What I’m having trouble with I guess is the value. If you consider what goes into tiramisu, $25 for an order like this is quite steep. I wouldn’t say that there’s anything too special that I would particularly crave about this that I couldn’t get if I had another tiramisu or even if I had just...
