Finally stopped by Oakwood Espresso, and it was absolutely worth the wait. My son ordered a latte, I went for a cortado, and we both treated ourselves to almond cookies — everything was spot on. The service was genuinely warm and welcoming, and the staff made us feel right at home. The ambience has such a cool, eclectic vibe, with both cozy indoor seating and a great outdoor spot to enjoy the neighbourhood energy. But the real star? The coffee. You can tell they take their craft seriously — our drinks were premium, perfectly balanced, and full of flavour. We both left saying the same thing: we’d come back in a heartbeat. Highly recommend!

MY FAVOURITE CAFE IN TO!!! ❤️ The hot chocolate and lavender milk here are absolutely delicious. Service is exceptional and the customers are always up for a chat. On Christmas day, they served us chocolates and other treats to celebrate with them. These treats were brought in by other customers! I found that so wholesome. The interiors are lovely, with unique antiques in every corner. Not a lot of space to sit, worth keeping in mind if planning to visit for a sit down coffee :)

Quintessential neighborhood coffee shop where everyone seems to know everyone. Got a couple of coffees and amaretti cookies, and enjoyed just sitting there and soaking in the casual vibe. It's in an old-school Italian area, so at times I almost felt like I was on The Bear with the type of people coming in and out and the lively conversations all around. This spot is great and I hope it never changes.

Wow, what a great ☕️ these folks deliver. Strong, tasty, foam was well delivered, and the temperature was perfect. Most cafes deliver the beverage too cold, and milk cools it more. They just don't get it right... but not here. Great care they take to make it well. Personal service, asking how you like it. 3.5CAD for a cortado is a very good price.

Seating outside, tables and benches. View of city street, buses growling by. Inside seating as well, stools and small tables. Bring your dog, water bowl there. It's bigger than expected. Seems to be no wifi. None of the chairs are cushioned. WC down the stairs, I think.

Great...

The coffee is excellent, but I am not sure why they want people to continue standing out in a long queue in hot weather and scorching sun, when pretty much the COVID related restrictions are no more in place. Perhaps it makes them look more in demand. It looks more like people waiting in soup kitchen line.

Additionally the air conditioner over the dispensing window constantly drips water on the waiting customer's head. Its annoying and almost humiliating, as it is not fixed even after repeatedly requesting...
