You have an “entitled” group of dog walkers baring red t-shirts that hijack the entire park as if they own it. They bring highly aggressive dogs into the park and then try to cast the blame for their aggressive dogs behaviour on other people’s dogs without a shred of logic. People are paying for dog walking but instead these lazy people hijack the dog park as if it’s their own property and overwhelm the park with dozens of dogs and several aggressive dogs that are off-leash. Off-leash public dog parks are NOT a place for aggressive dogs, take your dogs elsewhere. They treat the park like their very own Starbucks, they sit around sipping coffees and they are very opinionated, however they know absolutely NOTHING about dogs or dog behaviour. The next time one of their dogs gets aggressive it will be a phone call to the Police and Animal Control through the City of Toronto. You “entitled” morons need a...
Read moreThis park is okay for a off-leash dog park. It is all fenced in and is a very large area for dogs to run and play in. Unfortunately, the two times I visited this dog park my experience has not been the best. The fence is short and my dog( if he wanted to) could easily hop it. He is a 40lb husky mix and is wonderful with other dogs but the two times I visited the park, dogs had basket muzzles on. I was very concerned for the well being of my dog and other dogs since those muzzles are easy to get off especially in this type of environment. As well, a lady brought her dog who was ball aggressive to this park and was throwing around the ball. Other than that, all kinds of dogs come to the park from big to small or puppies to senior dogs. You have to keep a close eye on your dog while at this park. I would not take my dog back to this park...
Read moreFully fenced space; a mix of wood chips, dirt, and unkempt grass. Under construction (summer 2018) that has been delayed til fall due to city incompetency, and when completed will still not be adequate (building a shade structure not large or tall enough). One water fountain with dog bowl to service the park - a nice plus in most of Toronto's dog parks.
No separation for large and small dogs despite ample room to expand the existing structure or edit the current one. Frequented by large groups of commercial dog walkers (I don't consider that a problem, but some might).
One major plus is that it's at the end (or start depending on your direction) of a nice long trail. Ideal for a walk...
