I am so surprised to see these reviews. Seriously? The food was terrible. I went there because it's near my house. On March 26th, 2023 I ordered a Fish "Lumpris" aka Lumprice. What I got was some sort of Biriyani with shrimp and a slice of fish with vegetables. This is not what I ordered. To make it worse the fish was gone bad. I called and complained to the management. They asked me to come by next time they will assist me. They also said they will even refund the $20 I paid for that spoiled food. So, I went back on April 10, 2023 I didn't ask for a refund but believed that I was buying roses and a portion of Curried Squid, and a portion of curried chicken. They charged me $24 & the female customer service person and the same man, I don't want to mention any names were there. I mentioned the ordeal I had on March 26th but both of them played the fool and presented to listen to me as I was talking about someone else. I just left and brought the food home to find out that they didn't even pack the curried squid for me. I tried calling the number but surprisingly it was not in service. Honestly, as I mentioned earlier, terrible customer service, bad food and portions, and expensive compared to other quality Tamil takeout spots. I do file a complaint with the ministry regarding the food quality and they will be looking into this matter. I will say this is one of the worst experiences I ever had and I will not recommend this place to anyone. If you don't want to get sick and fooled please stay away...

I had the absolute pleasure of dining at Pandiyan Vilas Hotel with a group of six, including two young children, and was thoroughly impressed by the exceptional service and cuisine. Our server, Mayuri, set the tone for a wonderful experience with her warm welcome and attentive care. She thoughtfully provided a baby chair for our 15month old and expertly guided us through the menu, ensuring that our little ones would enjoy their meals. Her considerate offer to sample dishes,just to check spice level for our kids before ordering was a testament to her dedication to our satisfaction. The culinary delights were truly outstanding, with the Mutton Kari Dosa (5/5) and Ven Pongal with Sambar and Chutney (5/5) being particular standouts. The Parotta and Salna (5/5) were also a perfect pairing. We thoroughly enjoyed the Mutton Biryani (4/5) and Chicken Kizhi Parotta (4/5) as well. What truly made our experience shine was Mayuri's exceptional service. She listened attentively to our feedback and assured us that she would pass on our suggestions to the chef, that was a genuine commitment to excellence. Priyanka, who assisted with the checkout, added to the warm and welcoming atmosphere with her bright smile. Overall, our experience at Pandiyan Vilas Hotel was nothing short of exceptional. The combination of delicious food, outstanding service, and warm hospitality made for a truly unforgettable dining experience. Me and my girlfriend had the pleasure of visiting this restaurant on April 30th 2024. I was very pleased by how friendly the staff was. The first item we tried was the veggie samosa and the onion pakora which were both amazing! The samosa had a crispy taste on the outside and on the inside was soft and hot and tasted amazing! The onion pakora was also very crunchy and tasted great. The fried rice was also very hot and steamy and fresh and tasted great with soft tender meat. However, for people not used to South Indian/Desi food, the food would be very very spicy to handle. The next food item I tried was called the Pandias Villas with King Fish (it was a bowl of rice with fish curry, fried potato, dal, kale, all served together). To be honest the fish curry was great and so was the fried potato, but the dal tasted cold and slightly stale. However, overall the food was very good and I would give it 8.5/10 rating. In regards to the service I really like how the staff member Tharsan/Darshan was kind enough to exchange the fried rice (which was spicy) to fried rice made without spice free of additional cost! So service to me was a 10/10 because of that.
