Pastable — Restaurant in Toronto

Like most trends my teenage daughter saw this spot on her social media page and wanted to try it out. I was a little hesitant because it would not be my first choice. But I always want to try new places with my daughter and support local businesses. So we took a trip with my nieces and this place did not disappoint. It was difficult finding parking because it is on a Main Street. But there is a park on Lawrence which we used and walked up to Weston Road. It is a very simple spot with great food. I always say that you find the best food in the not so lavish looking places. Don't get me wrong the place is clean and well kept. I would however recommend some art or enlarged some photos of the pasta bowls on their website to hang on their walls because the place could use some colour. There is a lot of seating as most orders are to go. The menu is straight to the point. Choose your pasta, sauce and add-ons. They cook it fresh to order. You can't get any better than this if you are paying 17 bucks for a meal why not spend it on something that you create with a great portion size. For those who left reviews about the portions not being good they're absolutely wrong. There bowls can easily feed two ppl. And the takeout container is larger than those plastic ones that you would get from a Chinese restaurant. The owner's son was the one who took our order and he was extremely polite, friendly, great smile and excellent customer service. In total we ordered four different meals, every meal was cooked to perfection and we would all visit again.... Yes that includes me! I truly believe Pastable would be a hit in the West End.... I ordered a pasta from here and paid an extra $10 to add shrimp. When the pasta arrived I saw that it had absolutely no shrimp in it. And when I asked for it be remade because I didn’t get the shrimp that I paid for. The man on the phone was extremely rude to me and was refusing to remake it even though I didn’t get what I paid for and after arguing with my sister and I for a while, eventually he rudely asked “do you want me to remake it?” And we said “yes” and then he ended up hanging up on us. The customer service was horrible I have never had to fight just to get an add on that I spent my own money for. I work at a restaurant as well and I would never treat a customer this way. I attached a photo of my pasta that had no shrimp. They need to teach their employees how to respect people, especially when they’re not trying to be difficult, and are trying to get to a solution over a mistake that...

Went here for the first time optimistic to try something new & my friend ordered here before- I ordered the Alfredo fries ( seen on Instagram) waited 20 mins. Got the order and there’s chipotle and bbq sauce all over- I kindly told the cashier this is not what it looks like online & that I wasn’t expecting bbq & I don’t like chipotle sauce. He was “ polite” in re-doing the order…having to wait more time… they finally bring it out and looks like the correct Alfredo sauce on top through the clear packaging- get home to see that all they did was put more Alfredo sauce on top of the same plate with the SAME BBQ & CHIPOTLE that I did not want and waited more time for them to fix. My fries were mushy and my whole plate was just full of sauce. $15.00 out my pocket for nothing. Called the store 3 times- no answer 👎🏽👎🏽👎🏽 first and last impression.
