Good food. Horrible customer service!
My son LOVES pizza and I like trying new things, this is why we agree on Pizza Pan and have been ordering from them for a long time. Today, however, changed that for me.
I called to place my order today and had the most disrespectful experience I have had in a long time. I was taking advantage of their Pizza Deal (I won't go into detail here but it includes a number of items and FREE DELIVERY). I wanted to add side Poutine (which, to be fair, has two different prices on their website - one for the item and one to have that single item delivered). I simply wanted to know why there was a delivery charge added to the item if it was a part of a bigger order. Here is where things went sideways.
First, when I asked the person taking the order for clarification, they did not know why the price was different and actually gave the response of "I don't know, I am just a worker". I then asked for a manager. A few minutes later, a person answered the phone by saying "what do you want?" - turns out, this was the manager. I explained to them what the issue was and asked what the additional charge was for. The manager then explained that the additional charge was for delivery on that item. When that item (poutine) is order by itself there is a additional delivery charge - makes sense its a small item. I then asked if that still applied in this case as it was part of a larger order. Without answering that question, the manager then tells me that it doesn't matter because my address is outside of their delivery area.
I reconfirmed my address and the fact that this was one in a long list of orders that have been delivered to my address from their location in the past (as I said before, my son LOVES pizza). It was at this point that the manger said "well today I am busy" and then hung up...
I could go into a long explanation of sales over time and the importance of loyal customer (especially now) but instead, I will simply say good buy to Pizza Pan and take my...
Read moreI have been wanting to eat a really delicious pizza for a long time and I can finally say that I have come to the right place. Pizza Pan at 1822 St Clair exceeded my expectations!
The Hawaiian pizza I ordered was simply perfect. The thickness of the dough was just right; not too thin, not too thick. The edges were nicely browned, the inside was soft and delicious. The mozzarella cheese was used abundantly and can be felt in every bite. The detail that caught my attention the most was the balance of pineapple and meat – neither overpowering the other nor being lacking. It was very enjoyable to get both sweet and salty flavors in perfect harmony in every bite.
The place is simple but very clean and tidy. The distance between the tables is sufficient, you can sit comfortably and eat your meal. The staff was very attentive and smiling. My order arrived very quickly and the pizza was hot and fresh. Such speed and quality is truly admirable.
It is also quite successful in terms of price-performance. Eating a pizza of this quality at this price really makes you happy. It is an ideal place to go out, especially with a large group or family. You can even go alone and brighten up the day with a slice of pizza and a drink.
As you can see from the photos (I added them below 👇), Pizza Pan really loves and cares about its work. A presentation that appeals to the eye, a flavor that appeals to the palate!
Conclusion: If you are in the St. Clair West area and want to eat a really filling, quality pizza, Pizza Pan is definitely one of the places you should visit. After this visit, you may not want to eat pizza anywhere else 🙂
I will definitely come back. Thanks...
Read moreShawarma was decent. However when going to pay, I was told that I must take a combo. I said that the price on their menu was 6.99 and the lady who served me charged me 8.99 plus tax. On the window and at the front of the shop it clearly states that the 8.99 shawarma combo incl fries and a drink. The lady gave me a can of pop for the "combo" and she said that the price is the same as a combo or not. No mention of fries for this "combo". I pointed at the menu board and said it says 6.99. She said "Oh, they have not changed it." Then magically she put it through at the proper price for the Shawarma by itself. The sandwich was ok like I stated, but really debating if I will return and give this shop business again. I feel like it was an attempt to RIP me off and that leaves a nasty taste in my mouth. If you do patronize this shop or the pizza place next door that is connected and owned by the same people....watch the prices and make sure they are not trying to overcharge you or not give what they have advertised on their own...
