Don’t waste you time! I ordered a cake and asked for blue flowers and the cake arrived with white flowers. I told them to put my sons name Benjamin on it and said Benjamim. How embarrassing! $350 I wasted on incompetent people who were so rude they give so much attitude. Maybe invest your attitude into learning how to spell names. When I complained, the pastry chef said well, I thought white would match your theme. He complained that those white flowers are so expensive, I said that is irrelevant I never asked for them. He said I don’t care what you think is irrelevant because that cost me money. If you want respect and someone to make a cake they way you want it go somewhere else. He gave me so much attitude, his mother owns the bakery so he thinks he can talk to customers in a disgusting way. Victoria was also really rude she can’t deal with customers to save her life. He told me he would give a great deal next time, here is a tip there will be no next time! There are so many bakeries that respect my business I don’t need to be treated like garbage to get a discount. - looks like kids writing and half the beads fell off and were all sideways …disaster! The reply speaks for itself Victoria. You are rude. If you did your job well, I would have the proper spelling on the cake and blue flowers like I asked. You wouldn’t here blasting me on a review with attitude once again.

Did not expect this bakery to be such a great place they have great choices of cake, pastries, and other edible items. This place is good to work as well as well as have some food. It’s always have some people because the stuff is good.

We decided to check out Rustic Bakery after reading a Toronto Star review of this business. We stopped in for lunch around 1:30pm. I had tripe, rapini (okay) and rice with mushrooms and peas (good but cold). The tripe in tomato sauce tasted exactly like my mom’s; delicious. My husband had a veal sandwich with veggies and potatoes on the side; also good however barely warm. Lunch was priced by the pound. For dessert we had two cannoli, an Americano (watery) and a latte (very good). Total cost a little more than $50. The grocery section of the shop has an extensive selection of pasta , gnocchi (gluten free options available), olives, olive oil, coffee beans, and biscuits. There is an excellent selection of cold meats, cheeses and anchovies. There’s a good selection of traditional sweets. Italian cards, candy and gift items are also available. They have a good selection of Bialetti espresso makers and accessories. If you’re looking for traditional Italian health and beauty items, they have a good selection; Borotalco, Neutro Roberts, Felce Azzurra and more. Seating is limited. If you’re in the area, give it a try. When compared to other Italian bakery/hot table/coffee/grocery stores, I consider Rustic Bakery to be average. Prices were higher than expected for this type of shop.

I went to the bakery yesterday and ordered three veals two slice of pizza three cannolis at the hot table. I was very disappointed at the lack of customer service. I was the first person there and at that point nobody was at the hot table then several people arrived, and I have to say probably 12 people were served before my orders were even completed. I then approached the cash register to pay, and the person at the cash was taking a catering order, saw us standing there to pay and proceeded to allow us to wait 10 more minutes Until my husband had to ask the cashier to cash us out, while across from him was the owner with the little construction workers, Who may I add receive preferential Service well I was the first one at the hot table and they received their sandwiches in advance of me or anybody else, but we’re not the first to be there. Then there was The owner who added insult to in and was

talking to them instead of coming to the cash register to assist us with our order. I then proceeded to go outside with my cold sandwiches, cold pizza, and right in front of the bakery sitting in front of the bakery a lineup of 5 Individuals who clearly could not read the sign that stated no smoking must smoke 9 m back. I wish I was someone who worked for the fire department because I would’ve find your business so quick you wouldn’t have known what happened, But instead, me and my family had to endure the nasty smell of cigar and cigarette while we try to enjoy our cold food. Owners and management have made a lot of money in this establishment and really don’t care about their customers or shall I say they only care about the ones that they want to care about? Definitely won’t...

I found the BEST croissants here at this hopping busy place - Rustic bakery! I have searched many all bakeries in and out of our City looking for the superior croissant, crunchy and flaky on the outside, moist and soft on the inside! By far their croissants are the Best anywhere but you have to go early as by 10 am they could be sold out !!! You can get them at the espresso coffee location. You can buy them filled with lovely homemade crema pasticciera (cream filled), chocolate, Nutella, almond, or apricot. Try their plain glazed with a freshly brewed espresso! You will not be disappointed with the taste of their abundance of pastries, ie. cannoli, zeppole; homemade Italian cookies like amaretti; and their large variety of homemade cakes. The blueberry pie is scrumptious! Their hot table has an excellent selection of homemade dishes ie meat, fish, pizza, and vegetables as well. They even make porchetta weekly, try it with their nice selection of bread. Among their breads they make, excellent focaccia, corn bread, olive bread, red pepper bread. They have tables for you and your friends to have lunch either inside or enjoy sitting outside. The owners are very nice and know many of their customers by name, I really can go on and on. Italian confetti candy direct from Italy, etc. A must try! Especially if you’re looking for delicious homemade gelato ice cream come the warm weather. Their many flavours will surely be...

I used to be a Rustic Bakery Stan but recently I have not had positive experiences here, specifically with ordering custom cakes. A few months ago I wanted to get a gender reveal cake but was told the person who does the cake orders was not in that day. I asked if there was someone else who could take the order and was told no, and that I should come during the week before 4pm (which is not possible for most people who work). Recently I tried ordering a baptism cake but found it frustrating having to go back and forth via email since I could not get them to call me regarding the order. Though I clearly stated everything in my email to them, they kept coming back at me with odd and irrelevant questions which showed me they lacked basic reading comprehension skills since all of it was already answered in my original email. In addition I had to wait almost a whole day for a response each time they asked me an irrelevant question to get an answer back - all I wanted was a quote! When finally I had enough I asked them point blank if they could tell me how much it would cost and then finally I got my answer after about 4 days of back and forth. All of this could have been avoided in a simple 5 minute phone call but like I said I couldn’t get them to call me. Not sure why everyone seems to only communicate via email nowadays. Needless to say I was so frustrated I went...
