Ruth's Bakery & Catering — Restaurant in Toronto

I bought some food this restaurant recently. Really disappointed. Almost month ago change in to new management. But I noticed they try to put some new food. Specially for restaurant customer service and food quality is most important. When they took new management should know how talk with people. They put young person in front take customer's order don't understand ""Tamil"". This is Sri Lankan restaurant. Also more majority order people come and buy food too. I know now a days everything is expensive specially groceries. But new management should raise money little buy little. Right away price increases really high. Also now a days more majority people like healthy and vegetarian food too. Specially on weekends should put at least equal. If you put 3 none vegetarian then should put al least 2 vegetarian dish too. Food is so oilly dry quality is bad. Customer service terrible. Price is very high. I'm not going to buy any more food at this place. I really missed previous owners. People don't waste of your time money and energy at this place. I'm really disappointed frustrated angry...

This is a hub of Sri Lankan food in Scarborough that will surprise! There's not much for dine in seating arrangement, as the restaurant is very small, but, customers are treated to a t.v. that air's a cultural treat in traditional language. No matter your state of affair, all cultures are welcome to oblige a taste of theirs for a very very filling, healthy, and reasonably priced menu. It becomes so flavored in layered spice, you wonder if there is a religiosity to the cooking. Every customer seems served prompt, happy, and obvious frequent customers arrive and go with pre-orders. These samosas are what I think might be the best in the city! - fresh, vegetarian, filling, warmed perfectly. Looked like a nice little place from outside which sells south Indian menu. So i went inside to try a couple of items to find out if its any good and if I should order a lunch or dinner from here later today. Tried 2 items - bonda (we call it batata wada) and a mutton roll. The bonda tasted like it was made long back, probably yesterday or day before that and kept there in the open all this time. The potato filling tasted very stale. The mutton roll was actually a potato roll with some mutton taste and maybe a tiny piece. Also, the outer layer of the roll was extremely dried out, again maybe because of it being cooked long back.
