Souvlaki Emporium — Restaurant in Toronto

Im pretty surprised this place has so many good reviews. I tried for the first time today. Got it for pick up. First thing that happened was i placed it on the counter. All of sudden i see a puddle of oil on the floor. I look inside the bag and there is a sea of oil at the bottom of the bag. Its almost like they poured the salad dressing in the bag. After 5 minutes of cleaning up that mess. I open the box and see wilted brown soggy lettuce. I tried to eat the parts that looked okay but i feared getting sick so i threw it out and made my own salad. Then when i went to eat the potatos they had gigantic brown spots all over them. It didnt look cosmetic either, these were potatos that had gone bad..Again, I got to eat maybe 1 the rest i threw out. This is the worst quality food i may have ever gotten. Reluctantly im eating the rice and chicken but praying i dont get food poisoning. Truly truly truly, the worst quality greek in the whole city. I honestly dont know how it has so many good reviews i cannot image i am the only person served this rotten food. Cost me over $25 bucks too and i got to eat half of it. Such a waste of money. I found this on Uber eats. And I’m genuinely incredible happy I discovered this place. I order chicken souvlaki dinner. I request a few adjustments and they accommodate. The plate is FULL of ingredients. The salad for example is not just two tomatoes- it’s loaded. You get your moneys worth but besides that it’s ALWAYS FRESH. Incredible delicious and feels homey, like your moms daily cooking. I’ve been telling all my friends about it. And the staff I spoke to when I called was Alex, such a sweetheart. Thank you for being consistent & delicious. I know it’s hard during these times. I hope to come in person one day soon. Highly recommend you try it. Side note: I order the pork souvlaki too for my doggie. She is very picky lol and she loves this. I have to order for her or she stares....

You won't be disappointed with this place. They do the little things to make their food excellent, and the owners really care about their customers and do everything they can to give you full satisfaction. Everything is fresh and made properly. We had been going to a Greek restaurant on the other side of the city for years, but now we drive 20 minutes to get this our Greek food from the Souvlaki Emporium. It's definitely worth it, and we will be back again and again! Absolutely delicious Greek food at a great price. Huge portions and probably the best tzatziki sauce we've ever had.
