The dog park is on the smaller side, but good for the most part (and I am super grateful it is in my hood). I go to this park almost daily and there is a great regular crowd that shows up at different times, and throughout the day most dogs that come are fairly well behaved. I have seen a few fights break out over the past couple of years, but not on a regular basis, and there are always going to be people who shouldn't bring their dogs but do. I am not a fan of the hogfuel they brought in to cover the ground recently though. Also, due to the park being on a bit of a hill, when it rains, a small lake it often created, and in the winter it can get quite icey. All in all though, the dog park is pretty good.
There are also bathroom facilities (open in the summer), a water fountain, kids playground, and decent sized grassy...

There's also a regular sandbox, a see-saw, two baby swings, one regular swing, one chair swing, and two spring toys shaped like scooters that might be able to hold two kids each. The play structure has a straight two-lane slide next to the staircase for little kids, so you can easily guide timid toddlers up the stairs and down the slide. There's a twisty slide for big kids, and it's separated from the little kids area by a tunnel. The community has added two plastic slides good for little kids. In the summer, the splash pad and washrooms will probably be quite handy. Dogs in the dog park are fun to watch all year round. Great playground, especially for little kids.

Read moreWe use the off leash dog park here. It's small, but long enough to heave a ball and give your dog a good run. Most of the dog people are friendly and so are their dogs. Although I did witness a woman kicking a dog with all her might full on in the chest, even though its person was holding it after a minor scuffle with her dog. (She didn't bother to check her dog, who had wandered off to sniff around). I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw her there again a week later - I thought she'd be too ashamed to show...
