Spring China House — Restaurant in Toronto

Pricing was reasonable and great portions.

I ordered over the phone for delivery.. I asked for spring rolls , veggie fried rice, a veggie vermachelli type noodles and a pad Thai type veggie noodles . I asked what types of vegetables are included and asked for no mushrooms. So they delivered in great timing , within 30 min or so (I live about 8 minutes away) .. the delivery man was great, really friendly and pleasant.

But once I opened the containers the rice had egg in it and the vermachelli (excuse the spelling) had almost every type of meat in the book. So I called them back and the same lady who took my order answered. I told her that they made a mistake with 2 of the dishes because they contained meat and egg when I ask for veggie dishes. She said that those particular noodles automatically come with meat, seafood etc and that if we don’t want meat in it we have to specify Vegetarian.. Now she never said it came with meat initially, didn’t say chicken or beef or seafood noodles.. so it was a miscommunication. Anyhow since I asked what I should do, throw out half my order because I’m a vegetarian and can’t just pick it out .. She put me on hold and was kind enough to send another order of the dishes and just asked that I make sure to specify Vegetarian for next time.

**~Now the reason I put 3 Stars ⭐️ is because when I received the second delivery which was supposedly correcting the first.. the order of Thai noodles which never had meat in the first ended up having Bacon bits or fine pieces of some sort of meat just to be spiteful of the fact I called the second time. Now this , I think was done purposely. Anyhow I think I’ll go with Hakka food next time.

Very rude, poor customer service and food is not authentic at all!! Never go back again. After I tried to reach them three times nobody picked up the phone. I called again, right away I was asked to hold. They called me back but I was away. Then I called them back and got told to hold again. I said, “I won’t order then, it’s okay”, as I was really hungry. But the girl there wouldn’t stop calling me afterwards. I didn’t pick up at the beginning as I felt I wouldn’t want to order from them anymore at that point. Then she called me again, starting with “listen, I tried to call you, you didn’t pick up. Now there’s another customer in front of me. I am not finished yet”... I’ve never got treated by a restaurant in this way before. I told her, “it’s okay, it’s okay, I won’t order from you”. But she wouldn’t stop her ”lecture” to me.

I am very disappointed with the service. If you are looking for a happy lunch experience, look elsewhere. Btw, the food I ordered there last time was not authentic either.(kung pao chicken) I won’t comment on other food as I’ve never tried other things and I will not come back...

This restaurant is the most horrible place I have ever visited. Go ahead and eat from this place if you want to have some overpriced, small portioned, unauthentic, failed-fusion food. Go ahead and visit if you want to deal with the most toxic, the most rude, and most unprofessional server, and if you want to be given a ton of negative attitude. Go ahead and visit if you want to have negative vibes and absorb negative energy from this woman who hates her job. I don't blame her, I almost pity her, for if I were in her shoes, I would not find any joy in life too. Don't say I haven't warned you. Stay away. How can they claim that they sell Chinese food? Chinese food doesn't taste close to what they are selling. Save yourself the regret and avoid this place, at all cost!
