I went to this Starbucks 3 times this semester and their service is extremely disappointing. Every time I order a drink at the register I specify that I'm allergic to dairy and to have the drink made either with oat milk or soy milk. One time I ordered a vanilla soy latte and when I drank it, my tongue started to feel tingly. Since I'm allergic to dairy I had an anaphylactic reaction and thats when I realized I needed to inject my epipen. I told the manager it tasted funny and when she asked her employee , she said that she made it with skim milk.
Another instance was when I ordered a sugar cookie oat latte and I told the person at cash that I wanted no whip cream on my latte. When the person on bar made my drink she added whip cream. I told her that I'm allergic to dairy and she proceeded to scoop out the whip cream. I was confused because I told her she had to remake the whole entire drink since the whip cream already came into contact with the entire drink. I was very respectful about letting these employees know about the mistakes and have been patient every time. I feel they may have to retouch on their training , also coming from a barista at Starbucks. I haven't really experienced this at any other Starbucks before.
As a barista at Starbucks from another store , its policy that we make sure and tell the customers we cannot guarantee that our pastries and food items have nothing that they are allergic to when they ask. We simply say we are not 100 percent certain therefore we don't recommend that you buy and consume the item. However when it comes to drinks, when customers specify that they have dietary restrictions or allergies to milk products that is within our control because we can sanitize the wands and make sure by reading the label we are putting the right milk within their customizations.
I respect that these employees are doing their best especially when its rush hour, but then again I feel that they need to be retrained on certain areas such as making drinks and being an attentive listener when taking orders at the cash register. Not to be dramatic but if someone other than myself had allergies and and has an anaphylactic shock they can go to the hospital or even worse potentially die.
Some of you may simply say then just don't go to the store anymore, which I am not anymore but hopefully after writing this review this can help with how they can improve their customer service and business...
Read moreI ordered an iced caramel macchiato with oat milk just before 8am like I do every morning at starbucks and knew it was made with regular milk instead of oat right away. I then went back and asked for the drink to be changed, the barista then emptied the drink and used the same cup which dosent help since Im very sensitive to dairy milk.. and it tasted very sour almost like they mixed different milks together I gave up and threw it away.
Around 3:30 I said I'd try my luck again and ordered a grande iced brown sugar espresso with 2 shots (3 default). When I received the drink I noticed it was darker then usual in colour and realized the same barista had not written down on the cup that I wanted 2 shots instead of 3. I asked for them to change the drink (this time I went straight to the girl making the drink instead of the woman who took my order since I didn't want to cause any issues) and the woman who took my order came up to me to tell me I never told her that I wanted two shots which I found unprofessional - it's Starbucks policy to remake drinks (if the customer is not satisfied) without blaming their customers this was inevitable and I understand that as a business owner myself mistakes happen but the blaming aspect of this situation wasn't necessary.
I paid for 2 drinks today (4 seperate drinks) in which none of them were enjoyable. Very...
Read moreI've gone here like 3 times and two out of the 3 times theyve gotten my orders wrong. The first time I had not realized they gave the wrong order until I had left the premises. The second time I needed bus fare and got a drink but they failed to inform me that they could not open the register when i pay with card nor help me search for an alternative to my issue. The third time, they had gotten my order wrong and I purposely doublechecked before I left. The barista tried insisted I try it and I was like this wasn't what I ordered and insisted she remake it. I was very polite to her and smiling to her as well, and received no reciprocation. I also saw that she didn't fill my grande sized cup to the top and there was like at least a 2cm gap. I was in a rush so I didn't bother to lash at her. I'm pretty sure I gave her better service than she did to me. This location is by far the worst location I've been to and rest were amazing in terms of service and quality. Such poor...
