I walked in to the store during lunch break and I saw ONE customer in front of me and there was only one worker. She seemed busy, yes i can understand with having delivery orders. She greeted me and I said hello and she told me to give her one second and I said okay. She packed a few delivery orders and the drivers came in to pick it up and she even told the drivers to get the drinks for the orders. They were nice enough to do it for her but I was whaaaat? So I waited patiently, she finally got the old gentlemanās order after 5-10min and he left. I thought it would be my turn to order as she told me give me one second, and she starts touching the ipad with her gloved hands and making sandwiches. When she saw me again she told me give me one second and I said you know you said that 10-15minutes ago right? And she told me I know but I have to get these orders first. So i asked her So you ate telling me, a customer who is standing right here and told to wait 1 second 15minutes ago is not important and your delivery orders are you priority? And she said sorry but I have to do this first. Another worker came in and she was rushed to start her shift and she finally took my order but I had to tell her quite a few times what I wanted because she kept saying something else. It took me probably a good 25-30min to order A sandwich...
At the end of the day, I understand workers are doing what they have to do by taking orders but I am writing this so the OWNER who seems to took over this business sees this so you can practically have enough workers for rush hour. I wouldnāt visit here again anyways as there are a few other subway restaurants near here but hopefully...

A few months ago, I visited this Subway around 8:05 AM, expecting it to be open and ready for service as advertised (8:00 AM). Unfortunately, at that time, the staff was still cleaning, and I was asked to wait 15 minutes before placing an order. The toaster also needed another 10 minutes to heat up. It felt like the store wasnāt genuinely ready for customers, and I left quite disappointed.
Based on that experience, I left a critical review and didnāt intend to return.
However, I happened to stop by again recentlyāand to my surprise, the experience was noticeably better. The young woman at the counterāwho I realized was the same person from last timeārecognized me instantly. She took the initiative to call her manager without me saying a word. That gesture caught me off guard, in a good way. Honestly, I felt a little bad afterward because she clearly remembered the situation and wanted to make things right.
The manager came out, kindly asked if everything was okay now, and mentioned he had seen my review. He explained that it does take some time to get things up and running in the morning. While I still believe an 8 AM opening should mean being fully ready by that time, I genuinely appreciated their effort to acknowledge the feedback and follow up in person.
Also, credit where itās due: the staff member who makes the subs was not only proactive and professionalābut Iāll admitāsheās also pretty cute lol š
Thanks to that thoughtful gesture and the improved service, Iām updating my rating to 4 stars. Itās not just about getting it right, but also about how you handle things when they go wrongāand this team...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThe last two times I have been to this particular Subway, I have been shortchanged on meat (four slices of turkey on a footlong sub, instead of the usual six). The staff insist that four slices is the norm, and when I tell them that I used to get six slices at this location they insist that I am mistaken.
The standard is six slices on a foot-long sub; they are essentially charging you full price for two-thirds of a sub.
If I were you, I would go five minutes south to the Subway at West Mall and Bloor, where they do not shortchange you on filling.
I will be dropping a note to Subway corporate as well; I am not sure how they feel about franchisees setting their own amounts of...
