Tacontento Mexican Foods — Restaurant in Toronto

Just a a bit of backround , ive been here twice. Once with a good mexican friend of mine and yesterday with my girlfriend.

The first time I went , my friend ordered for me the pazole and it was so delicious, so yesterday I was really excited to order it and show my girlfriend and have her taste it. I waited in a long line to order, which is understandable concidering howgood the food is. I heard the people infront of me order pazole and got more excited. Once i got to the front I tryed to order it and I was told they were sold out. And i thought "dam the people infront of me must have got the last orders." So i ordered something else because i knew it would be good no mater what i got. I waited in line as order number 9 for quite some time as they were busy . I watched all the people infornt of me who got the pazole in envy go back to their tables and enjoy until they called my order. Once i got to the front they acked what i wanted on my order i told them and couldnt help but to notice 3 bowls of pazole stitting on the counter. I just thought that someone must not have claimed their order. That is until i got my food then heard them call up order number ten. I watched order number ten get two bowls of pazole and thought wtf. I waited for two more orders to go by so order number 13 was called and i seen they also ordered a pazole. I was a bit upset and continued to watch them give pazole out. I messaged my mexican friend and told her about my experience and she told me it was probablly because i wasnt mexican , and the reason i got it before was because she ordered for me. If i didnt wait a total of 45+ min to order and get my food i would have gone up and complainedand asked wtf. But at that point i was done with the place and wouldnt be able to hold back my frustration. I live two hours out of town and only come in to toronto once ore twice a year so this really killed my experience.

Its unfortunate but i wouldnt recomend ordering here unless you speak spanish or look latin american because they wont sell some items to you it seems. I wouldnt have believed that the reason behind it if my mexican friend didnt confirm it in earnest. Such a shame because the food...

This could possibly be my new favorite Mexican food eatery. We ordered Tostada shrimp ceviche and it was fresh, tasty and full of flavors. The in-house hot sauce was so tasty that I ordered a bottle from the owner for my family to enjoy. A great spot for some authentic Mexican foods.

Update on Jul 25th:

Picked up the hot sauce ordered last week, it was made while we had lunch, and it's full of authentic Mexican home-made flavors.

Ordered Guacamole with freshly made tostitos, Beef burrito and our favorite, Tostada De Ceviche x2..all super tasty and...

Very confusing service as there is no menu listed and no prices. Felt as though we got ripped off seeing as the other reviews say it’s reasonably priced. Paid $34 for four tacos and four flautas with toppings that were lacking flavour, tortillas that were raw and chicken that was dry. They were out of lime and out of spicy salsa which is disappointing and we waited over an hour...
