This sushi restaurant has its pros and cons, but based on my personal experience, the cons heavily outweigh the pros.
Pros: Fast service Wide variety of choices on the menu for both lunch and dinner
Cons: The food does not taste that good. My boyfriend ordered short ribs and we saw traces of dried up cooking oil stuck to the short ribs. It almost looked like it's been sitting for a while before it was served to us. Their meat is also very dry. The beef teriyaki was served cold. The menu on their iPad is confusing. It does not specify how many pieces are served in one order. For example, I ordered 4 of the salmon roll and was served 12 pieces, however I ordered 12 of the spicy crispy salmon roll and got 12 pieces. The waitresses have a very distinct attitude. The lady who seated us did not greet us. She simply looked at us and pointed to a table. None of the servers uttered a smile. My boyfriend and I felt like we were being rushed to eat and leave.
We had a lot of leftovers after our meal. My boyfriend and I really wanted out of there, so we agreed to pay for our waste. I have so much respect for customers who are able to stand up to these waitresses and tell them how they really feel. I could never be that customer.
I only realized hours after I left the restaurant that they overcharged me. The prices on their menu does not reflect how much they actually charge you. Be mindful of the numbers that they put in before they give you the machine.
Compared to other sushi restaurants, I think this would be one of the cheapest. However, you get what you pay for. If quality and experience really make a difference for you, I suggest hitting up another sushi restaurant, perhaps Matsuda or Osaka Sushi. It's slightly more expensive but the quality is so...
Read moreToday at approx. 11:45am, I was refused to be seated by the host of the restaurant because I had a stroller. When my friend and I had entered, it was nearly empty and they were just about to open the left side of the restaurant. After telling the first hostess continuously, that I am not able to leave my stroller at the front (due to my child being 6 months and not being to hold up her head properly), she turned around and walked away. While more people started filing into the restaurant behind us, we were forced to wait almost 20 minutes until the new host came (based on the assumption the first hostess was finished her shift and just left). When the host came, I told him that I am not able to leave the stroller at the front and he told me that they could not “accommodate my needs”. My friend and I explained that we’ve been to this restaurant many times WITH the stroller (during lunch AND dinner rush) and it hasn’t been a problem. The host rudely said that we’d have to leave the restaurant immediately because there was no space. He then proceeded to sit the people waiting behind us, while we were waiting in line first. We were the first people at the restaurant as soon as the left side opened, and I find it ridiculous that he claimed there was absolutely “no place” for us to sit. When I asked for the host’s name, he continuously denied and just claimed that he was the manager. This host was extremely rude and unprofessional. He had embarrassed my friend and I, while not being compliant to something that was out...
Read moreTLDR: regular customer for almost 10 years turned off by asian lady with glasses. Food still great just service was disgusting.
I'm a regular here for almost 10 years now, celebrating many occasions with family and friends. Walked in recently with a buddy and a distasteful encounter with one of their servers made me think twice of going back. As we patiently waited to be attended by the greeter's counter, an asian lady with glasses cleaning up a nearby table eventually asked what we wanted (mind you tatami even at this time was less than 50% of full capacity). We asked for the menu and she handed us the tablet from the table she was cleaning assuming we wanted AYCE. She then started to express frustration when we asked for the a la carte menu instead. She proceeded to exercise this commanding and rude tone more so ordering us around to sign in our names and gesturing us with her finger to follow her to our table like we were dogs. My buddy and I during this entire exchange with her, did not say anything to each other til we got seated but dam did we feel the exact same about her attitude. To top things off, we would've felt better seeing her be rude to the other customers but nawwwww that wasn't the case at all. We see her go around tables being so nice to them and even greeting new customers kindly. Mind you we did nothing to warrant the way she treated us but we just shrugged off this whole experience with that host/server, ordered n ate our...
