D Spot Dessert Cafe Scarborough Lebovic — Restaurant in Toronto

Today, I had the pleasure of visiting D Spot Dessert Cafe in Scarborough, at the Lebovic location, with my husband and my brother. We were there to celebrate a belated Eid for him, and it also happened to be Good Friday, so the place was absolutely full.

From the moment we stepped inside, I was struck by how beautiful and cozy the space was. The layout was open and welcoming, the colors of the furniture warm and inviting, and there were plenty of comfortable seats. It felt like a place where you could sit for hours, enjoying good company and good food.

We were greeted quickly by a kind staff member who seated us, but what truly made today special was our server, Shahin P. Shahin was not just good at her job, she was a light in the middle of a very busy evening. She approached our table with a big smile, took our entire order,food, drinks, and desserts, without writing anything down, and remembered every detail perfectly. She even took the time to show us the new menu and explain the new items with patience and care.

The cafe was packed with people, and the heat inside was overwhelming, there was no air conditioning today, and even with the side door open, it was hot and humid. At times, I honestly felt like I was melting while eating. But somehow, through it all, Shahin made us forget the discomfort. She kept checking on us, bringing water, greeting every table, taking orders, and making everyone feel seen and heard. It was clear she was carrying so much responsibility on her shoulders, yet she handled it with grace and strength. I watched her move through the crowd, staying patient, organized, and kind, even when the pressure was high.

Service was a little slow because of how busy it was, but Shahin’s kindness and energy made us not care about the wait. She made the evening feel special, and for that, I am truly grateful. Before we left, I made sure to get her name and thank her personally. Shahin, you are a star, and you made our visit unforgettable.⭐

Im gonna start of with our negative take aways and end it positively.

Soo the food coming out after order was pretty fast for the group size we had (14 adults and children), but they forgot an order. When we pointed it out they said that they had taken it but it's taking a bit longer to do. Another two minutes and it would be out, but it took another 6 minutes. It was evident that they had missed the order despite the person taking the order double checking our order before going back to the kitchen initially.

On top of that, whilst one of our companions was away to the washroom his kids, the staff had cleared his food despite not being finished. Granted this could be because everyone was finished already. When asked about the food though, the man who had cleared the food was not apologetic and thought we were simply joking when pointing out the fact. Kinda ruined the experience for me to be honest, despite it not happening to me.

Now to the good, the food was delicious. We had ordered the Warm Loving and the cinnamon and apple pie stuffing was really something else. We also got another dessert. Fun something and it was too egregious for me but my kids loved it. A warm drink was also ordered, and that was good too.

All in all the food experience was delightful but the customer service could use some work. They are a busy establishment so bad could explain it but that...

It was the first time I have been to this location something around 6 pm today with my friend. The food we got was not up to what I ordered. I ordered the pizza which was not the one that was served plus the pan cakes were all raw from the centre. I was having it and as I came to the centre portion it was all raw due to which I felt breathless and moved out to have the fresh air but I have to make myself rush to the washroom for the vomiting. Then after coming I was just waiting for the customer service and after calling out 4-5 times she heard us and came. When we were complaining about the food the cook take over and asked us that it was served from last 30 min and I should have called him before. Like I would have known before that it is not cooked and instead of talking to my friend I should have just focused on the food and let him know before that it is not cooked. If it is raw it is raw it does not make sense if I’ll tell you after 30 min. I don’t care if the cook is good or the best that you have, he was on the call while preparing my meal; plus don’t had any gloves. My bad was just this I was being nice to them and walked to the washroom instead I should have vomitted on the floor so that they can see.
