Birchcliff Cafe is a cute cafe within the suburbs that I always drove past, saw a couple of times on TikTok, and finally decided to try it out.
🥘☕️ The cafe has an array of coffee/espresso options to choose from and has some bakery and pastry items. We ordered the following:
Violet Vanilla Iced Latte (7/10) This is a seasonal drink ($5.95 small, $6.45 large) I'm not too sure if I can even taste the vanilla or violet... not sure if the drink was supposed to be violet (in colour) because it looked like an ordinary latte with a subtle hint of flavour (nothing strong) Still a solid latte
Latte (7/10) Tasted fine and enjoyed it, but nothing that makes it stand out
Chocolate Croissant (6/10) It's your usual chocolate croissant and it was colder than I expected it to be
Banana Bread (6/10) It was too cold (not sure why lol)
🕑 Opened during school & work hours, so very limited timings.
🌿✨️ The aesthetics of this place is cute and beachy vibes but modern & high-end. They have plenty of seating and have cute fixtures on the walls. There were pops of greens, whites, and greys, and some plants. I think it's a cute place to come study/work or even socialize in.
🤍 Customer service is amazing, and everything was kept clean and tidy as well. There was a line for this place, but it wasn't much of a wait considering how fast they took our order...
Read moreAmazing spot with strong cozy cafe vibes with that touch of modernness and with nice strong roasts
You can tell it’s already gonna be good just from the sign itself outside. Then you walk in and are transported to so many different levels of wow. An amazing looking interior and that fireplace wall just completes the whole homely feel. Space was also nice and bright
The espresso roast is nice and strong without the taste being overpowering or long lasting, which is just how it should be. Nicely coats the tongue with the creaminess too
Service was great. Super quick and barista looks like they had a busy morning, so to see a smile was just very welcoming
Speaking of how busy it was, it was a full house on a Wednesday morning. The one thing that makes me want the warmer weather to come is they have a patio which would be perfect to enjoy a coffee in the morning outside
There’s street parking in order to get here, but looks like those spots fill up fairly quickly. So would suggest having some patience to getting a...
Read moreGreat little coffee joint in Birchcliff neighborhood. Due to development, they have moved in the bottom floor of the House & Garden Company. (The mother and daughter own the two ventures.) Since their move, they now sell cards and flower bunches in addition to their usual Birchcliff merch, coffee and food. They have a rotating seasonal menu. For the fall I decided to try the Pumpkin & Hazelnut Chai Latte. When you put cinnamon on top it tastes just like a Gingerbread cookie! I also ordered a gingerbread cookie shaped like a flower basket from @gbcookiescompany. Pricing is more or less the same as before the move. The ceilings are much higher in the new space. The outdoor patio is now more private and serene. There were only two people working the til and making drinks so sevice is slower than a Tim's style joint. Sit back, relax, and slow down to enjoy...
