With TikTok/influencer food culture, everyone is after the next crazy thing they can post about. Crazy flavour combinations, $100 burgers, insane toppings - I don’t want or need any of that. I just need simple delicious food, done well. Burger Monk does that and then some.

My wife and I tried the cheese Burger, classic poutine and wings. Everything hit.

The burger was a decent sized patty and cooked nicely where it stayed juicy. The toppings were fresh and the burger sauce is a good mix of sweet and savoury without overpowering anything. Also nice to see a place that isn’t doing smash burgers.

Poutine was solid too. Great French fries (remind me of Costco), with solid light gravy and a load of cheese curds.

Wings were cooked really nicely. Not dry at all but I usually like mine a bit more crispy.

Overall we had a hefty meal, were satisfied and didn’t feel gross when we were done. I’ll be...

I recently visited Burger Monk, and I have to say — it totally exceeded my expectations. I was just looking for a quick bite, but I ended up finding one of the best burger spots I’ve tried in a long time. I ordered their signature burger, and it was incredible — juicy patty, fresh toppings, and the bun was perfectly soft but didn’t fall apart. You can really tell they put care into every part of the meal.

What really stood out to me was the fries — crispy, well-seasoned, and honestly addictive. I also tried one of their house sauces, and it added the perfect kick. The vibe in the restaurant was super relaxed and cozy, and the staff were friendly and helpful, which made the experience even better.

Overall, it felt like a place that takes pride in what they do, without being over-the-top. I’ll definitely be coming back — next time I’m bringing friends so they can see what the hype is about....

A mostly disappointing experience. I decided to try it as I was craving a burger. When I walked in and went up to the register, it took about 7 minutes for someone to acknowledge me, even though workers were coming in and out of the backroom and saw me. I ordered a cheeseburger and cheesesteak poutine. The cheeseburger was just okay. The patty was a bit dry and overcooked. Meat was not tender at all. The cheesesteak poutine was quite good. They have this spin the wheel game with every order where you can win discounts or a free pop. I asked about it and was told they can't let me play it today "Because it's a Friday". I thought that was weird but okay. Then I looked at the poster promoting the wheel on the door and it explicitly states "available on every day of the week". So that's a nice little bit of false advertising...

I was craving a late-night meal when I stumbled upon a promising new burger joint and decided to give it a try. First impressions were great, the area was spotless, the aesthetics were tasteful, and the background music set the perfect vibe. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, even offering me a special promo that made my visit feel extra special. There were plenty of seats in the restaurant, and the chairs were incredibly comfortable. Even after a 15-minute ride home, my food was still piping hot. The double cheeseburger was juicy and flavorful, while the onion rings were perfectly crunchy with an impressive portion size. Thank you for the excellent service - I’ll definitely be coming back! P.S. I wish I had taken pictures, but I was hungry and the food tasted great that I didn't get the chance.

I had an amazing time at The Burger Monk! I had the bacon cheeseburger with fries and a vanilla milkshake — everything was delicious. The burger was juicy with the perfect smoky bacon and melted cheese, the fries were crispy, and the milkshake was thick and creamy. What makes Burger Monk even better is the fun experience — when you order, you get to spin a prize wheel, which adds such a cool touch. Plus, they run a review contest where you could win free burgers for a year (yes, please!). Between the great food, friendly vibes, and extra perks, this place is definitely worth the visit. Highly recommend!
