The Dogfish Pub & Eatery — Restaurant in Toronto

Technically I cannot offer a proper review of the dining experience here. I will simply tell you about the experience that lead myself and my two kids to walk out before the waitress even took our drink orders. We arrived shortly after 11 am. The place looked really nice, right on the marina! I took a seat near the adjacent kitchen (which was open). I guess it had just opened as the kitchen crew was obviously prepping for the day. My two girls went to use the washrooms. As they left for 5 minutes, I immediately noticed very loud music blasting out of the kitchen area. I became a little worried that my kids would return to hear the abrasive lyrics being played for all customers to hear. I was in shock the kitchen crew was allowed to crank their tunes for all customers to hear. I enjoy hip hop as much as anyone, but not explicit lyrics with customers and small kids present. Very unprofessional. As I looked over to signal someone to turn it down, I noticed a staff member who had dropped a bunch of cutting utensils on the kitchen floor only to collect them all up and place them back on the prep station counter as if nothing happened.... that was all I needed to see. They were most definitely not even contemplating washing them. As my kids returned, I explained to the waitress who just looked at us perplexed as to why we were not staying. Low standards in the kitchen with the door open, I can only imagine what goes on when the door is...

We came here by accident on October 22, 2022. We wanted the Marina restaurant but it’s closed. Oh my! We were pleasantly surprised !

The place is big and the food is VERY cheaply priced. I can’t believe you can get a fried chicken sandwich, fries and Coke for $12!!!!! Even by 2019 standard (before Covid) it’s cheap.

The fries is the best thing here. Nice big thick cut. Reminds me of Boardwalk fries from USA. Get fries or poutine! Trust me

I got Curbside Chicken sandwich. Nicely fried but it lacks seasoning. It does have a sweet sauce. For $12 it’s still a great deal.

The view around the restaurant is great. It’s Fall time and the leaf are turning colors.

This is a place for cheap food if you...

The place was so dirty

We received cups with lipstick stains, after asking for new cups, the new ones had stains as well.... burger was burned ... tasted awful.. the chicken fingers that we order were awful... you can buy better ones in Walmart... The plates were all dirty as well...

The place was a real nasty thing... floors looked like they just had a pinata.. food all over the floor..

Washrooms disgusting .. .soap looked like was sitting there for ages!! - of course empty

there was 1 waitress for the entire place.. so of course everything took longer... but hey.. when i asked for the bill it took the "only" 5 minutes!

Will never go back Will highly recommend do not go...
