Cynthia, I don't know where u ended up, but there are indoor washrooms and garbages at the entrance to the beach during the summer. But on weekends and holidays parking is terrible and u often have to park at the parking lot a little farther up the hill. But there is a nice five or ten minute walk pathway to get to the beach from that second parking lot. I love this beach, it's beautiful, and has very nice walking paths. And the view from the top of the bluffs is amazing!! But they really need to build a third parking lot, or at least expand. It's ridiculous. It's got to the point that I usually avoid this beach all together on weekends and holidays because I can't find a place to park sometimes. I actually just went there around 10:30 last night, Saturday, and it was still packed! Crazy! I once couldn't find one place to park between both of the two parking lots on a weekend this past summer. So I parked in a no parking spot in the second lot up the hill, and they had the NERVE to ticket me!! Was...
Read morePlease note that there is no access to Bluffer's Park from this park! I walk my dogs here and am constantly stopped by people asking how to get to the beach. This park is over a hundred feet above the beach (hint: it's above the Bluffs)! There is a steep "trail" from the south east corner, but it is not passable by most people (it is steep and rocky and you definitely cannot get a stroller down this trail or walk it safely wearing flip flops and beach wear). It might look flat on Google maps, but the park is set above the cliffs that the the "Bluffs" are known for. The park itself is beautiful and open and there is a playground and splash pad for the kids - come visit for those reasons! The trail that overlooks the beach and marina below are worth a visit, and you forget that you are in the City when walking the trail. But don't expect to get down to the Bluffs from here (and back up again to your parked vehicle) unless you have your hiking shoes and are in...
