UPDATE JUNE 7, 2023: After grocery shopping at Tre Rose this morning, I took a morning break in their Cafe. The china cup of cappuccino, sprinkled with cinnamon, was perfect. From their bakery counter, I had bought some treats to bring home. But, with my tasty coffee, I couldn't resist and thoroughly enjoyed eating a chocolate croissant and a French macaron sandwich cookie. So delicious! It is possible that the macaron was the best cookie/biscuit that I have ever eaten. I would have bought more macarons but I managed to get the last one because the rest were sold out. No wonder! The croissant was wonderful, too.

I had sat at a table by the window, enjoying my coffee and snacks, and I realized how special that moments like this can be in my day. The staff are all so nice, too. Maybe next time, I'll sit outside at one of the cafe's tables to enjoy my treats in the sunshine. Big recommendations from me to shop at Tre Rose and enjoy the Cafe, too!

PREVIOUSLY: Six stars would be more accurate based on my wonderful experience at Tre Rose Bakery this morning. How is it that, due to the pandemic, I had totally forgotten about this wonderful Italian bakery, instead buying boring bread, packaged cold cuts, baked goods, etc. at either Walmart or a supermarket? Well, I'll be going back OFTEN to Tre Rose; it's really worth the drive there.

The selection of mainly Italian bottles of antipasti, packages of pasta, packaged cookies, etc. was perfect. There was a huge cold cuts counter with such a wide variety of fresh meats and cheeses. Refrigerated sections for fresh cheeses, etc. A wonderful selection of freshly-baked breads, buns and sweets. Irresistible to me! What a fabulous assortment of fresh cannoli, tiramisu, cupcakes, Portuguese tarts, cakes, etc. in the enclosed bakery area by the check-out.

It was a difficult decision to limit myself to buying a reasonable amount of fresh products because of storage challenges in my home.

Once I paid for my purchases to the friendly Cashier (all of the staff were so friendly and welcoming to me), I ordered a cup of cappuccino from the deli area on the other side of this store. It was delicious. I very happily sat there at a table, nibbling at a delicious pastry that I had just bought, and I thoroughly enjoyed the cappuccino, pastry and the whole experience of being at Tre Rose this morning.

Guaranteed, I will be returning very soon to this fabulous local bakery and deli with its helpful, kind staff. Big recommendation from me to...

I was introduced to this bakery by a local. It was a pleasure to meet the owner, a mature and cultured Cosimo (I think his surname is Mollica). In the Italian tradition, he was fashionably dressed with impressively hip eye-glasses.

This bakery-restaurant has a great selection of deli and prepared foods that include a wide selection of coffee, cheese, cold cuts, pizza, desserts, and a hot table.

The Tiramisu was the best in-store I've tried in Toronto, melting in my mouth and spreading the rich flavour of cheese, coffee, and cacao across my tongue. The Cappucino was aromatic and distinct, enhancing what can be described as a creamy explosion of ecstasy.

A second visit by Cosimo came with a complimentary treat of freshly cooked zucchini zeppole. At first bite, I was tossed into memories of Mama's kitchen. Such savory, yet creamy, doughy extravaganza was deeeeeelicious.

If that wasn't enough, Cosimo came back with a complimentary generous size anchovy zeppole. This was even tastier than the zucchini zeppole. It was more savory and chewy with a clean yet not overwhelming fish taste. Cosimo does it right! Let me warn you, these zeppole are not for someone trying to lose wait, and you'll want to order more.

I left The Rose Bakery at closing time, realizing that Cosimo is more interested in taking care of customers than in chasing profit. Prices were very reasonable and a bargain considering the portion sizes and quality of the food.

I'm looking forward to going back. It's a great place to go with a group of friends and experience Italian style hospitality...

Do you love freshly -baked bread? If you're like me who enjoys the taste of bread, pastries and cakes, then Tre Rose Bakery is just the place for you to visit. They have a large selection of different breads, croissants and other pastries and a mount-watering selection of cakes. And yes, all of these are freshly baked right on the premises!

But that's not all. Tre Rose also offers you a daily selection of freshly cooked European-style sandwiches and Italian lunches including lasagna and other pasta dishes, meatball, sausage and chicken. My favorite for almost 15 years has always been the veal sandwich stuffed with peppers and mushrooms and their special home-made sauce.

I also make it a point to visit the cold cuts counter because they carry a wide variety of cold meats from BBQ chicken to salami to corned beef and more! Grab some fresh bread of your choice, some cold cuts and make yourself a delicious sandwich...at very reasonable prices!

Never mind the pandemic's restrictions of eating indoors: the food is just as good if you...

May, 18,2023 at 6.10 pm I entered the location at Kipling and Racine Rd. The staff serving the pastries was very rude, she offer no greeting and gave the impression as though she is unwilling to serve ppl of colour. She was very rude and lack customer service skills. This behaviour was obvious because she serviced the non black customers with smiles, greetings and conversations, and thank you at the end of there purchase, however, when it came to us, she was dead in her attitude and I am sure her heart was dead also. I which I got her name. The Zeppole was staled, tasted like the fridge. This place is none existent to me as of now.✌🏾
