Employee has some sorta issues. The store really doesn't look great, it wouldn't pass a health inspection after taking the first step inside but I really couldn't say as I never made it inside. I was biking home on Danforth with a friend and wanted to get some food; we stopped just because of the flashy signs with low pricing. I was immediately hesitant at the state of the place and the fact that they sell shawarma, kabobs, pizza, and burgers all in the same place but who knows-- might as well give it a shot right? As we were checking the place out, some old lady went up to the door and did what I thought was fixing something- turns out she locked us out. When we went up to go and see if we could get inside we were met with glares, and were waved away. For some further context, my friend and I are 18- I'm wearing all black and a pink backpack for food delivery. The only two conclusions I think could have been drawn at this sight are that either that the employee did not want to deal with kids, or disapproved of me, as a male passing individual wearing a pink backpack. We both saw her calling somebody who I prayed were the cops so I could have somebody explain why in the world I was denied service so I could watch this employee either stumble for an excuse, or admit denying service for some sort of homophobic or other reason. While I'm sure neither of us would've shopped at this horrid establishment, it's baffling that with such already low ratings and undoubtedly low profits there was enough audacity to deny somebody service with absolutely zero...
Read moreI've had a few meals at this place and tried to give it a fair chance but it failed. The kitchen smells foul which is already a red flag for a restaurant. The only employee currently is the owner which is why the serving times are so long. I actually saw the owner reuse pizza boxes. The pizzas are very bland and the bread is thin and stale. He also chagres $6.50 on cash for the $4.99 pizza deal when the $5 with HST should be 5.75 approx. If you can't afford a $4.99 pizza deal then don't advertise it! He tries to save money by reducing the quantities and charging extra pennies but the quality of all the food is dismal to put it mildly. The owner also had to audacity to gloat to me once that his pizzas rivals Papa John's and Dominos. If you are looking to get something cheap DO NOT GET FOOD FROM HERE, the extra dollar or two you'll save will not be worth it quantity or quality wise, I can promise you. This store...
Read moreDo not get drawn in by the prices! Once you look inside and see the set-up of the counter, you will realize why it is cheaper than most other places. On the day of my visit (2022-06-12), it was being run by just one person. There are no prepared pizzas on view to choose from nor is there a kitchen window to see how things are prepared behind the scenes. He told me a slice of pizza was $2 yet he actually charged me the higher posted price when I counted the change I got back. The 2 slices of pepperoni pizza that I got served were hot but they had only one mini pepperoni on each of them and there were barely any flakes of cheese to even cover them. I think this franchise location might be skimping on the supplies from corporate as well as how they should be made. There are other similar restaurants a block away, so go elsewhere for the extra $1-2...
