Massaman curry is my favourite thai dish and they did it so well!! (Pictured) Incredibly well balanced spices (aromatic) and can add spice (heat) to taste!! The curry is incredibly rich and goes so well with the rice. The beef is very tender! Truly hit the spot. Be aware that they use whole spices in this dish (e.g. bay leaf, clove, star anise). I quite like it but just flagging for anyone interested. I can't wait to come back to try more dishes! Portions are generous. You are likely to take some home! Great assortment tray of spices (Pictured). I liked the 2nd from the left (clear) the most. It was a little sweet! My Singha beer came with chilled glass (Pictured). It was great. Service was very kind, prompt, and attentive! Lovely decor. (Pictures) Super cosy neighbourhood feel. Collage of group photos, polaroids, and beautiful Thai pieces. Comfortable seating with traditional patterned cushions along a bench for the wall side of seating. Venue best accomodates parties of 1-4 easily but can accommodate more (a party of 9 arrived for a reservation during my stay). Arrived 2045hrs on a Sunday, and there was only one other table at the time. Despite listing as closing at 2130hrs on a Sunday, the restaurant became suddenly about halfway through my meal! A very popular place in the neighbourhood. Street parking - residential area is free in the evenings if you're willing to walk or paid Green P lots and street parking. Steps from Greenwood TTC Station -- Update. Saturday nights are very busy! Reservations recommended. Capable of larger parties (a group came in for a reservation for 15). The kitchen is very efficient! My order came out right away (appetizer first, main promptly after completing appetizer). They were also constantly pumping out takeout orders for delivery pickups. Chef Mo's pad thai was great! Enjoyed it with pork belly.(Pictured) And they have a menu explaining all of the spices (Pictured) Spring rolls were good but price maybe a little steep for the portion. I'd still order them again though! ---- Update. Added photos. If I can cut through my calamari with a spoon, it was cooked right! Pineapple curry was delicious and always love the presentation of the rice. There's a lot more in there than you think!!

I had started following their page on Instagram a few years back. Their fun and inviting posts always led me to think about planning a visit to their restaurant! You should def follow them, it will add some happiness to your day! I finally got the opportunity on my birthday. It’s a quaint restaurant that is designed to make you feel like you are in a bar near a Thai beach. The place was filled with happy music and a constant stir of chit-chat. Our wonderful hostess answered our questions about the menu and led us to the best meal we have ever had! The appetizer - listed in a (secret) menu - was the laap shrimp chips/lettuce wraps. The chips were fresh, not similar to the ones you would find in a grocery store and complimented the galangal infused chicken laap. The laap portions were a delight as we couldn’t stop making more wraps with the lettuce that was also provided. For our main course - in the context of, Thai and any noodle-based dish we have ever consumed, the Chef Mo’s Tom-yum style pad-thai is on the top of our list! A great mix of flavours complimented well with the heat we asked for. Our group was tearing up with joy! We also ordered the Penang curry with chicken - which was in our experience the best we have had in Toronto(period) The desserts were remarkable - a coconut ice cream (milk free, vegan) served as shown here on a bed of coloured sticky rice. We were scrapping the bowl for more. We also spoke with Chef Mo, about her search for the best ingredients from Thailand, the innovation at Sala and her creation of the Tom-yum pad-thai. With dim lights, they celebrated my birthday with a song and a candle placed on mango slices styled as a rose flower on sticky rice. We love this friendly family style restaurant that serves innovative food as art itself. You will see the same excitement from all of their patrons at the restaurant. We ordered more food to go. The length of this post and the effort put into writing this post should convince you to make the visit. I would love to see them grow into something Toronto is proud off!

Delicious and authentic-tasting food, with an atmosphere that brought me right back to Thailand. We booked a reservation - and lucky we did as the restaurant was packed the whole evening. The actual restaurant environment is very Thai-esque. Service was a bit slow in terms of getting our orders, checking in, etc. (again, very busy spot) but our food all arrived very quickly.

The portions are very generous - photos don’t really do it justice but the plates on which our mains were served were huge.

For appetizers we ordered the Thai papaya salad and the pork jowl: I am not a huge fan of pork but it was cooked perfectly and the table loved it and the accompanying sauce. The papaya salad tasted just like ones I had in Thailand, and the chips served on the side were a great touch.

As for the mains, everyone was extremely happy with their food. Pad Ga Prao - I think this received the lowest rating from our group, but a solid 7.5/10 Pad See Ew - great reviews from the table. King Prawn - massive prawns! Everything was perfectly cooked, could have done with a bit more flavour on the rice. Pad Kee Mao - this is what I ordered and it surprised me how delicious it was. Of all the dishes at the table I might recommend this one most. Each table comes with a flight of chilli sauces/oils/sugar/etc. so you can adjust your meal to your liking.

And for dessert - you MUST get the homemade ice cream here. To my dismay I’d forgotten to take a photo but the trio of unique ice cream flavours comes atop a small mount of sticky rice (which pairs much nicer than we suspected). All of us were a bit reluctant to get any dessert after a massive dinner but we all agreed it was incredible and the best thing we had all night.

All in all, I like that this place feels a bit more homey than other “rave” Thai spots in Toronto, while still delivering delicious and authentic food, and I might even come back to this one over the others (even if just for...
